I celebrated three birthdays for the month of January here at captain crab the service was excellent. The food was excellent. I ordered a variety of lunch specials and family specials. The price was very friendly. Our waiter was very assertive, punctual and understanding he was very knowledgeable about the items in the menu. It was a great overall experience. I definitely recommend everyone to try this place.

We've ordered their Seafood Boil in the past twice, we even had it delivered. Priced right for good quality, great flavor and well portioned meals. Our most recent visit we tried the fried catfish poboy with onion rings, fried calamari, and fried shrimp basket. All very yummy! The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with great service.

It was ok. It's a little bit better than the other options in Fresno but it's also not the best. The flavors was ok, a bit more on the saltier side but it does have a little more flavors than the other seafood boil in Fresno. The price was affordable and the seafood was not bad quality. The shrimp wasn't over cook to where it became soggy.

My family and I went for the first time yesterday. We ordered the Mother’s Day special, fried calamari, fried pickles, hush puppies and cheese sticks. The fried food were all delicious. The breading was tasty. Even my picky 7 year old liked the food. The Mother’s day special included lbs of crab, corn, potatoes and we chose shrimp and sausage. We chose the garlic butter sauce. There were 4 adults eating and it was a lot of food for us. My daughter got the kids meal of chicken tenders and fries and that was yummy as well. Everything was delicious! Service was great too. They were quick, friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

This detail, though minor, hinted at the restaurant's popularity among locals and visitors alike. Inside, the promise of a Happy Hour from Monday to Friday and a special Valentine's Day feast for $118 featuring a lavish pound of crab or lobster among other delectable dishes, painted a picture of a place not just serving meals but creating experiences. My culinary journey kicked off on a high note with the perfectly crispy Cajun fries, a testament to the kitchen's prowess. Opting for individual items like the succulent headless shrimp and flavorful sausages over larger platters, I found myself reveling in the rich tapestry of tastes, each bite a celebration of the sea's bounty.

However, as the meal progressed, the currents seemed to shift slightly. The ambiance, still adorned with Christmas decorations well into February, added a quirky charm but also suggested a lapse in attention to detail. More significantly, the experience was marked by a sea of unattended moments, from the noticeable absence of a bartender to a service that felt more adrift than anchored, making the act of ordering drinks feel less like an invitation and more like an intrusion. These moments of disconnect, contrasted starkly with the vibrancy of the dishes laid before me, each a flavorful voyage in itself. Despite the culinary delights that Captain Crab offered, it was clear that the journey could have been elevated by waves of warmer hospitality and more attentive service. Yet, even amidst these ripples of imperfection, the allure of the food alone was a beacon strong enough to draw me back to its shores, promising that even the roughest seas could harbor treasures worth returning for.

Fun place to eat! Food was very good! Got hush puppies which were some of the best! They were crispy and have a good crunch to them. The fried pickles and mushrooms were great too! The main star of the show was the shrimp! Very fresh and fun to pick at!! The lunch specials are great here too!! A very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back!
