This is a really great place for BBQ and breakfast food! There are unique breakfast meals that incorporate pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, eggs, etc. The meals are always great and the portions are plenty! The restaurant is also clean with a friendly atmosphere. My son ordered a twist on chicken and waffles, and they hit a homerun 🙂. I highly recommend checking out the Canteen! 😋

Been going to the canteen for years. They’ve remodeled a bit and the parking lot is much better than it used to be before. Delicious food with very generous portions. The service was very good but not great… A little slow. No problem though… You’ll enjoy dining with model airplanes flying over your head!

The food was absolutely delicious! The best Ruben around!! The smoked chicken sandwich was so so good! The amount of meat .. you won't go away hungry i promise!
If your in town, you need to stop in and enjoy a great meal!

Went here for breakfast and the food was just okay. I took the waitresses suggestion on the avocado toast with brisket. I wasn't impressed with either the avocado or the brisket. Service was good and the place looked nice, but we won't return. Kind of over priced. 6 dollars for a link of sausage. WOW!

I have always wanted to try this place. So glad we did. Food was delicious! Friendly service and food came out very quick! Super impressed. Not afraid to overload on the whipped cream! I can’t wait to go back for lunch! Menu was mouth watering!

I have been coming here for over 15 years; Sam is such a lovely man, and the food here is fantastic, like a burger and salad or a good winter soup. You can find everything here. This is a family business with over 25 years of experience. Service is always excellent! I highly recommend Sam's spot to anyone

Got the brisket platter with burnt ends, fries and Mac and cheese. Have to say it was very disappointing. First, the brisket came out looking like it sat under a heat lamp all day. Didn't have a smoke ring and was lacking seasoning. If it wasn't paper thin it may have been decent. I couldn't have eaten it unless I drenched it in BBQ sauce. The burnt ends, about half were barely edible. It was like chewing cardboard for a little over half of what I was given. The mac and cheese was like cheese colored soup with noodles, no flavor what so ever. The two best parts of the experience were the fries, very good but very inconsistent seasoning (either way over or way under, if mixed on the tray it was alright) and the two servers seemed to be having fun and were nice to talk to.

Drove about 25-30 minutes to try their brisket and likely won't be returning. Sorry.

So bbq is what I do, ive smoked food for over 9 years and have served up to 250 men and on more than one occasion, so I know bbq.I will post a picture of there brisket and then what mine(real Texas brisket looks like. Their sign is deceiving it say best bbq this side of Texas….. sorry to burst your bubble but it’s not even close. True bbq doesn’t need sauce to begin with it should always be served on the side as a choice, the meat should be seasoned and good enough that you don’t need sauce.

I ordered the two meat plate, with fries and Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese was the best part of this meal but I was only given 3 bites, it was served in a 3 oz styrofoam Togo container. The fries were just ok.

Now the brisket was garbage, no smoke ring, no bark and was overcooked to point of it being flavorless rubber. I took one bite and will give the rest to my dog. If the owner would like to have someone come help them get their bbq in line I would be more than happy to come teach. The pulled pork I ate, but it was flavorless without the bbq sauce they mixed it in. Not trying to bash you guys but come on, this is quality bbq, especially paying $30 for the meal, you truly can do better. The picture with the styrofoam is there brisket and the one in the container is mine and what brisket should look like. If you want good bbq don’t come here.
