Canoa Ranch Golf Resort - Green Valley, Arizona

My 9 year old and I stayed in a 1 bdrm suite while visiting grandparents in Green Valley. The suite was very large with fully stocked kitchen & stack washer and dryer. The King Size bed had down comforter and feather beds which made it super comfortable and luxurious. The unit was quiet and we enjoyed the private balcony. Our room was serviced each day by housekeeping with towels etc. There was an assortment of sundries available at the hotel lobby. Breakfast came with the room and though the breakfast room is not fancy, it was great to be able to order an omelette or fresh scrambled or fried eggs. ||THE BEST SWIMMING POOL! The pool at Canoa Golf Resort is heated to a very comfortable temp & the hot tub was not “too hot”. We enjoyed the landscape, palm trees, and the soothing sound of running water/streams. There were plenty of reclining lounges and chairs poolside and ample pool towels available from hotel lobby. Best Yet - As a hotel resort no one gave my child or other children “the look” or complained about kids being kids in the pool area. The pool is far enough from hotel rooms that children’s joyful play should not be heard by even the grouchiest of guests 🙂||Board games and books available in lobby as well.||Note: Not connivence stores, or playgrounds within 9 miles of resort. 1 restaurant at golf course. Bring groceries, Lego, and pool toys for kids!

I have stayed here before, and liked it a lot then. That's why I chose it again even though it was more expensive and further away than other corporate hotels.

My room was in a different building this time, and maybe that was the difference, but it was a disappointing stay. The heater would only get the room up to 68°. The water pressure in the shower (there is no bath) was low. The TV signal was unwatchable. The bed for both my stays was very, very cozy. They make a good omelette for breakfast, The rest of the breakfast selection is Days Inn quality, down to the styrofoam cups. Everyone who works here is exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

If this had been my first stay at this hotel, I would have given it two stars. I'm on the fence if I will stay here again for future trips. It was not worth the $200+.

I just wanted to thank, and compliment the wonderful staff at the Canoa Ranch Golf Resort. We come every year and we are always impressed with the improvements. This year we were delighted to see a new gift shop with a great selection of snacks and drinks. And the new Espresso cart is so convenient and they make delicious lattes. The hotel grounds and rooms are always immaculate and the pool area is the best in Arizona |But mostly we appreciate the friendly and always accommodating staff.|Keep up the good work! |We notice and appreciate it!!

Positive: I love the king suite with the kitchen and living room! It?s a very homey feel. Negative: One lady in the breakfast area lives is to not allow anyone to leave the breakfast area with food. It?s over the top that you can?t go sit outside to enjoy the lovely area. It?s tough when you are on vacation to feel like a prisoner.

Part 2 of our golf trip to Tubac / Green Valley vacation. We chose Canoa Ranch as the second leg of our vacation because it was north of Tubac which would lessen the drive time to Phoenix airport. We checked in and opted to upgrade our room to a one bedroom suite. The hotel was clean as was the room and the staff are very friendly. The room had full kitchen, laundry, 1.5 bathrooms and a very comfortable king bed. We also booked this hotel because it offered a stay and play option at the San Ignacio golf course. ||We booked three rounds of golf, two at San Ignacio and one at Canoa Golf course. Both courses were in great shape and both courses had restaurants which served a variety of food. We ate at both restaurants and enjoyed our meals.

Let's face it, options are limited if you are visiting Green Valley. That being said, I don't necessarily recommend staying at Canoa Ranch but if I need a place for the family to stay the next time I'm visiting my parents in Green Valley, I won't hesitate to book the two bedroom suite at Canoa Ranch. If you are with me just know that the AC is loud, my pet peeve, and the decor is outdated. The wifi works, the pool is warm (a plus or minus) hot tub works and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Cobwebs dangling from the ceiling. Shower door leaked too much,an actual puddle. Caulking along bottom of shower black with mildew. We stayed last year and it was better.

Cassandra is amazing!!!
Our flight, hotel etc. reservations were lost at the last minute and Cassandra came through for us. She got us 2 rooms at a great price!
She was extremely professional and very knowledgeable regarding the rooms and amenities. The trip was last minute due to a family emergency and she was so helpful in a very stressful situation. She was so patient and kind after the 6 times I had to call her for various things, definitely appreciate all of her help!
