I’ve hosted 2 retreats here and could not love this place more!! The house itself is beautiful and clearly a ton of thought has gone into the set up for making it the most functional for creative retreats. Plus the backdrop!! The lake is just gorgeous and having breakfast and tea out on the deck is a highlight of every trip! The owners are so helpful and kind. The breakfast included was perfect. Everything was easy to figure out and the owners were quick and responsive for any questions we had. 10/10 would recommend you having a retreat here!

This was the best retreat I've ever attended. The owners have thought of every little detail. There are plenty of workspaces and nice places like the deck, yard, and lake to escape to for a break. I can't wait to go back and spend time sewing and laughing with friends.

I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience staying at Camellia Palms was for my group and I. The owners are such wonderful people, friendly and helpful. They have these lovely pop up ships with the most darling fabrics. The grounds were clean and comfortable. I couldn't be happier.my group and I will definitely be returning!

A small group of friends and I have gone up to Camilla palms for the last couple years now we really enjoy relaxing and sewing and an enjoying each other's company. The owners are super at answering questions, turning up the air or the heat when requested. The house is there in the middle of town and walking distance of the grocery and all the small shops. The back of the house faces the lake which is a beautiful and relaxing sight. Every room has its own unique charm with unique pieces of art. We have plenty of fresh towels in the place is always clean. The home is handicapped accessible.

This is my 3rd time at this Camilla Palms retreat. I had a wonderful time with some great friends. The view is beautiful overlooking the lake.
The cutting boards are warped. We did have fleas and bugs in the house. I believe we needed more cutting surfaces for 6 people and the host was not customer friendly. They have always increased the price to $3000.00. This is way too much for 3.5 days. We will have to find somewhere else to go.

Based on the response from administration on my review. I will tell you that I never walked to the lake. I was sitting at my sewing machine and felt something biting my feet. I looked down and saw several fleas on my feet. Also had roaches in 2 bedrooms that we killed. So if the pest control guy told you that there was not a problem you may want to switch pest control companies.

Every time I travel to Camellia Palms I feel at home! The old house charm and amazing view are a great mix. The space to spread out and work is another plus to this gem of a house! 10/10 recommend!

Great view but due to fleas, one warped cutting table, one cutting mat that had deep grooves needing replacement, unable to control the temperature it was freezing in the house on the first day with no response by text or phone to get someone to turn it off. I’ve been coming to this place for several years and this is the worst experience ever. The price has increased to $3000 for 3 nights, way too much money. Check in is at 1pm, check out is at 10am. They provide a list of all that you get with prices for the amenities but what is not taken into account is depreciation. Those amenities are falling apart and worthless now. Renter beware customer service is not their main priority.

Here’s the flea bite I received on that Monday and it has still caused me pain and suffering as a disabled person.
