This venue is second-to-none! The ambiance is wonderful and there is not a bad seat in the house. The sound system is also excellent. The employees are friendly and helpful. So thankful to have the California Theater in our community!

Wonderful old school performing arts theatre, with a balcony and lobby. Saw a fantastic performance of "Young Frankenstein" by Pittsburgh Community Theatre there - great community feel, and with high quality performances. We laughed and laughed and enjoyed every minute.

I went to the California Theater a couple of days before Halloween to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show (shadow cast and audience participation included). The theater is definitely older which lends it a certain charm. The staff is pretty fabulous, meaning they are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The event I went to turned out to be fun for my entire group, myself included. The Bawdy Caste (the shadow cast performers) were very good. All in all, it was a seriously fun experience.

Went to see 3 Motown Queens and it was a good show. A bit disappointed with the sound system which overpowered the singers and left me with a headache! The theater is a beautiful location and I took my granddaughter to see 'Frozen' and that was great!
