My experience at Café Logan wasn’t the worst, but it was definitely unpleasant. I originally ordered a Do-Rite donut, which was fine, but when I went back for another, they gave me a completely different donut and insisted it was the same. Having already tasted the real Do-Rite earlier, I knew they were lying, but they remained persistent, refusing to acknowledge the mistake. After looking into it further, I realized that they label all their donuts as Do-Rite when they actually source them from another vendor. This feels misleading and dishonest to customers who expect to get what they’re paying for.

Beyond that, the food is overpriced for the quality. Nothing I tried stood out as particularly fresh or well-made, especially considering the premium prices. While the space itself is nice and has potential, the lack of transparency and the underwhelming food make it a place I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again. There are plenty of better options in the area that offer higher-quality food and more honest service.

Pleasant atmosphere, classy decor, food that aims for "bougie" but ends up so-so.

My main problem with the place is how confusing the setup is. Sometimes they want me to order at the counter, sometimes at the register. Sometimes they custom-make sandwiches for you, sometimes they don't want to. Is that guy standing next to you waiting for his order, or waiting TO order? No way to tell! Is an employee going to take my order, or will the register just stand unattended for the whole lunch rush? Who knows! Even the text on the menu behind the counter is difficult--it's impossibly tiny and switches periodically to whatever menu you're not trying to order from. I often can't even figure out which door to the cafe that I'm supposed to use--it seems to change to various combinations of the three possible doorways. I pity the art students who must rely on this place.

I ordered a latte and and a panini. They were both standard. This is a U of C campus cafe but it’s open to the public. Lots of students & faculty. Great Wi-Fi. Really good place to get some work done. Also great customer service! The ladies behind the counter were very nice.

My first visit to Cafe Logan was solid. It's spacious and bright (floor to ceiling windows along the east wall and part of the north wall) with Wi-Fi and plenty of seats, tables and outlets. I ordered a coffee - it was a nice cup of coffee at a decent price (maybe a little on the high end). The best part was Chicago artist Nikko Washington's exhibit on the cafe walls. I assume (hope!) that they rotate exhibits in the cafe. It's a really nice feature that makes this cafe unique (thus, the 4 star review). I'd probably come back, particularly if there are art exhibits in the cafe that interest me.

Not good..overpriced. I walk throughout the campus and have lunch but after today, I will not be back.

Edit: they've switched vendors or at least updated the menu. They now offer side salads..sushi..more beverage..dessert. I don't want to talk about the prices because i still think they are pricey compared to the other cafes on campus to the proportions. Nice open and modern sitting. My first review was on the food which was TERRIBLE but I've updated it since I've gone back. They stopped selling chicken salad too which was pretty good at one point.

Me and my friend came to this location while they were opening and we were denied in service. They should close at 4pm but they didn’t want to make a coffee for us at 3:35 pm

Third Tuesday at the Logan means free and fabulous jazz. Two sets. Pro tip: Arrive early (by 6:30) and sneak in some vittles. Beer/wine (surprisingly good) and snacks (very so-so) on sale til 9.
