Excellent customer service. Good portions. Great flavor in the food. Alcoholic beverages are well prepared. Steak is well seasoned and churrasco is the bomb. Just exploding with flavor.

I love coming here for the tres leches pancakes! They are fluffy and they do not need syrup, the tres leches creme is so good and enough to moisten the pancakes! The chilaquiles are also good, red chilaquiles are a little spicier, which is how they should be, but not everyone is used to it. Prices are decent and staff is awesome.

If you're a mocha enthusiast in the bay, Cafe La Taza is an absolute must-visit. Nestled in the heart of the Mission, this cozy café offers the best mocha I've had the pleasure of tasting. Either iced or hot, it’s delicious!

Solid brunch spot. Full bar for breakfast cocktails. A lot of single use condiments which made dining during the pandemic feel manageable. Indoor and outdoor dining available. The servers were kind and made us feel safe

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but I’m honestly beyond frustrated. Every single time I place an order, something is wrong. This isn’t a one-time mistake — it’s a recurring issue, and I’m tired of it.
Today was no different. I couldn’t even enjoy my food because I had to take time out of my lunch break to go back and complain — again. The worst part? No one seemed to care. No apology, no acknowledgment. Just indifference.
This level of service is incredibly disappointing and completely unprofessional. What’s most upsetting is that this does not reflect the service at Bar Tza — which I’ve always found to be great. It honestly feels like they’re run by two entirely different teams.
I’m speaking up now because it’s been happening far too often, and nothing ever changes. Customers deserve better — especially those who keep coming back.
Friendly tip to other customers: Before you leave, double-check your order to make sure everything’s correct — unfortunately, you can’t count on it being right.

Had high hopes for this place because the reviews are so good. It ends up being a little underwhelming. Ordered the tres leches pancakes and classic breakfast with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. Pancakes are decent. The tres leches sauce is really sweet but is a pretty good sub for maple syrups. The scrambled eggs and chicken sausage are pretty awful. scrambled eggs are hard and flavourless. Chicken sausage is so burned that it's barely eatable. I don't think the place is bad. Maybe i just ordered the wrong stuff.

I've been eating at La Taza for close to 13 years. It's one of the Mission's best kept secrets, and there's honestly no place better for a cozy meal. I always bring guests for brunch when they visit!

The food is great across the board - I love the Gallo Pinto and pancakes, and I also love the sandwiches, salads, and lunch options. I relied on them a ton while working nearby, especially during COVID.

Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly. I often try to linger a little longer while I eat just because it's so pleasant in there. It's just a classic neighborhood place.
