Located downtown in a great spot in the middle of everything. We stopped in to see the paintings and to have dessert. We didn’t realize that we would have such a huge choice of dessert but we settled on chocolate cake and ice cream and my friend got coconut cream pie and ice cream. We couldn’t have stopped at a better place.

The paintings in the hotel are preserved excellently and the bar and hotel are awesome!

I recommend the buffet everything was good. The prime rib and buffalo ribs were worth the price alone. I would skip.the mashed potatoes and the old-fashioned next time.

Went to the restaurant and the waitress was obviously not interested in providing any type of customer service. She couldn't be bothered to even stand in front of us for more than a couple of seconds to take our order. She began walking away mid order and made us feel extremely uncomfortable and didn't even make sure the order was correct. She did not even tell us the specials which the other waitress was telling everyone. She brought someone else's appetizer to us. I also was brought the wrong sides with my entree. I hope they get rid of her honestly she makes the place look bad and I hate to say it but I think she was high. I wish we were seated in another section because I believe the other waitress would have made the experience so much better.

Overall, I had a pretty good meal here. I went with the Prime Rib that seemed to be their specialty. It came with the soup/salad bar (which was very good), mashed potatoes and gravy, and a piece of garlic bread. The prime rib was good, but I would say it was cooked medium, and I ordered it medium rare. There wasn't much pink left and medium rare should have quite a bit. The center of it was a little dry. However 75% of it tasted good and I definitely left the Irma full. I would go back here again, but maybe request that they make sure it is medium rare.

First, I want to say these service and atmosphere was great! We were excited to see the history in the restaurant. To us, the food was mediocre, at best. Will still stop in for a drink and enjoy the history of the place!

I'd driven all day reach Cody and was exhausted. Went to Irma Hotel for dinner as we love historic buildings. My husband's burger & fries were cold. When we got back to our motel I realized the chef had not put the chicken breast on my $18 'bear salad'. It was a huge salad but not worth $18 and I needed that protein.
We're going back to try the buffet which looked awesome. Hope we have a better experience. EDIT. We went back the next night for the buffet. Got a wonderful waitress named Anya. The buffet was delicious and Anya gave great service. Ask to be served by ANYA.

We stayed in the “old” part of the hotel which is on the second floor. It was a trip back in time. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and sat at the “Queen Victoria Bar”. What a treat. (I must add 30 more characters: fun, old, clean)

I grew up near Cody. As a kid my Grandparents would take me to the Irma for lunch occasionally. I always remembered liking the place and food. Fast forward 40 years and I returned last week for dinner with my Folks. Upon entering the back door I was taken back in time. The place is exactly the same right down to the smell. I got a little teary with nostalgia. My folks had prime rib and I had steak. All delicious. I ordered a gin and tonic and the tonic water tasted fresh. Not from the bar tap. Always a plus! The buffet was being set up when we left and it look delicious. I will return my next visit home.
