Very amazing museum experience would recommend highly, the collection at the Cody museum of firearms is first class with everything from post Renaissance German match and wheel locks to modern military arms, obscure patterns, prototypes and curiosities. Very thorough collection of late 1800s wild West firearms and they even have a few punt guns (look it up they're awesome). Amazing place for firearms history buffs alike and people very new to firearms as well. They have many foreign and domestic firearms at the library downstairs. Can easily spend all day just in the firearms section. Unfortunately the firearms science section was closed off but looking forward to seeing it another day. Also checked out the art museum which is also amazing even for people very new to art, have a lot of fantastic pieces unique to this part of Wyoming. Didn't get to see much of the natural history museum but seemed very cool. Defined plan more than a day if you want to see everything. Gift shop is very nice as well with work made by local craftsmen and artists. This place is amazing and definitely a must to visit if you're in the Cody or Yellowstone area.

What a very nice set of museums! We were greeted and checked in by Jeff, who was extremely nice and friendly. As we walked through the museums, we spoke with more employees, who were just as nice and knowledgeable. There’s so much to see, it’s nice they offer the two day ticket. We got to watch the wild raptor presentation which was so informative.

Always a fabulous visit as we've been many times, and like to take folks from other states through Yellowstone and finish up at Cody with Buffalo Bill Center. So much to see. Especially wonderful to see the Raptor presentation.
