We recently attended a showing of the Chinese Ballet, Shen Yun. The immediate area surrounding the building was well kept and the facility itself was nice. Parking was also easily accessible and within walking distance.

Opened in 1931 and named for Mable Shaw Bridges, who died at the age of 12. Capacity: 2500, roughly the population of Claremont back in 1931. (Dogs not allowed)

Parking is a problem. The close lot shown on Google Maps was chained off. Either get there really early or plan to walk a ways.

This is a midsize aging Auditorium with a classic feel of grandeur from earlier years. The ladies lounge is huge, comfortable and able to accommodate a number of women in the lounge area to the restrooms. The facility is accessible but parking is terrible so give yourself at least an extra 30 minutes to find a spot locally.

I love this theater! Since moving to Claremont about 28 years ago, I have always enjoyed coming here to see performances. Before my children were old enough to be performers or supporting cast members, we saw professional performances of Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, several ballets, and other shows. It is a beautiful building with classic architecture and interior design of a traditional theater, including a hallway museum in the basement where the men's and women's restrooms are also located. Shows are typically first rate and the setting both inside and out is spectacular!

Large auditorium in Claremont. There is a parking structure at the intersection of First and Columbia. Special designated parking for electric vehicles served by Chargepoint.

Auditorium itself is well maintained.

I was the guest of my good friend. We attended the Shen Yun performance that was beautiful, insightful of the shows origins and inspiring. However, advising people to arrive two hours early when indeed it was a sold out performance was uncomfortable waiting outside without adequate seating anywhere around the auditorium save for only a few wooden benches and many, many disabled and handicapped folks in attendance. Additionally, parking shuttle offers were late to get to people parking more than a few blocks away and absolutely NO FOOD VENDORS to constitute the 2 hour wait before the performance.
