Surprisingly this was not our first choice for breakfast, but should have been.

Nice cozy diner with great breakfast. Everything was well seasoned and had great flavors, we devoured everything!

Will definitely be on our list!

Had lots of specials that sounded delicious, I only wish I could have eaten more.

Wonderful, tasty, and very reasonably priced breakfast! We went here and ordered corn beef hash and #5 combo (cinnamon French toast + 2 eggs + has browns + 2 bacons). The service was fast and our server was so incredibly kind. Bread & Butter Cafe has a very comfy and cozy ambiance. We will be coming back!

This is always a wonderful place to go for breakfast. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent from the moment you walk in until you leave. The staff is always friendly, checking in to make sure you're comfortable and asking if you need anything else. The portion sizes are very generous for the price. Highly recommended!

Outside seating! We visit multiple days a week for breakfast for the great service, including an amazingly fast kitchen. Their potatoes are the best around--tender inside and crispy outside. One of our favs is the Country Fried Steak. Try the biscuits and gravy too!!!

The service was quick and fast, the place was clean and people friendly. They were happy to substitute and let us do customization, which was great

The food was okay, nothing great, especially for the price. But we got one sausage link, which was not done right. It tasted as if made in a rancid oil that really put us off. Otherwise, the food was not bad but not great as well.

Only my second time visiting. I liked my first visit, and had been meaning to come back. Unfortunately it took me more than two years to return.

Food is solid, service is good, and the atmosphere is good. I think what really stood out to me was the very modestly priced mwnu. Unfortunately, while the food is not overpriced, the prices don't stand out anymore.

I visited Bread and Butter Cafe in downtown palatine last weekend with my family for breakfast because my dad was told the food there was really good especially in the morning as breakfast.They had all type of breakfast they had waffles,pancakes,eggs etc. The pancakes were perfectly made and they give you 2 or 3 and they also bring the honey for you. The smell of the pancakes just makes you wanna eat it and it taste like the best pancakes ever.Our waiter was super nice and cool he gave like 10-15 minutes to see what we want to eat. When we order he made sure the food didn't take to long to arrive and when we asked for refill on our drink he will do it as fast as he can because he also has other people to attend.Inside bread and butter cafe is perfect the light were bright but not so bright it was dim,the seats were cushioned and there enough seats in one booth for up to 4-5 people. It was clean, after a family finished eating the waiter will come with a basket and pick up the dishes and the trash and clean the table for the next family. My experience at Bread and Butter Cafe was amazing, the food was great although it could be a bit pricey it is worth it.I would recommend Bread and Butter Cafe for anyone looking a good and yummy breakfast.
