I can’t say enough about how wonderful Qiana is at what she does. She has such a great understanding of how the human body functions but the really great thing about her is that she listens to what you say and actually pays attention to your needs and will taylor the massage to your needs.
I usually get an awesome myofascial massage when I see her which I LOVE but it can be kind of intense. When I saw her yesterday though, I was really rundown from work and travel etc and I told her all of that and instead of just doing the norm she changed up her style and gave me a great massage which was exactly what I needed. I’ve been seeing her for years and I’m still surprised but how great she is. She is a true healer!

Staying active as I get older is getting harder, my body hurts more often and doesn't bounce back as quickly as it used to. This is where Qiana & Body Realm Center come into play. What sets Qiana apart is not just knowledge of the muscles, but what motions & functions they are used for various sports. That is huge when it comes to how to approach not just a massage but my exercise routines. Qiana always ends her massage with suggesting exercises to strengthen areas to avoid future pain.
Qiana is able to modify a massage depending on if more functional stretching or deep tissue work is needed, or a combo of both. It's never the same massage twice, no cookie cutter routines, always personalized to what you need at this point in time.

I waited until just before my 73rd BD to brave an appointment for bodywork aka massage because medical diagnosis was a Hip replacement. After spending many hours researching and asking others for recommendations that came up empty, I discovered Body Realm Center. Its hard to put into words how professional, prompt, and understanding Qiana Thompson greeted and treated me with. Although I do not have prior bodywork experience to compare my first session with, my life experience and attentive nature knows best. I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time with the Body Realm Center. Qiana greeted me exactly at my appointment time. Welcoming me with a friendly and pleasant greeting. Qiana was very clear with me on how things work and what to expect and at every step making sure I understood and giving me every opportunity to ask questions. She is a professional at a level that you do not find in our world much today! She listened, she understood and was respectful! Following the Orthopedic massage she took what time I needed to explain what exercise and stretching etc. that would help me continue forward with my care after massage. As someone who spends most of their day sitting at a desk and also trains in weightlifting, I've struggled with my fair share of muscle dysfunctions and soreness. I had tried various sports massages before landing on body realm. I was struggling with plantar fasciitis for almost a year and was unable to play soccer or run without pain. I attribute a large portion of my recovery to the stretches, therapies and knowledge provided by Quiana. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my self care. The atmosphere is so cozy, clean and everything is so friendly and professional. Their table side is one my favorite parts too. They tell me what they found with each appointment and give me some amazing homework that makes a world of difference in between appointments. Camryn is one of the most intuitive, highly educated, professional, and super sweet therapist. One of my Goals in the next coming year and going forward is to book more appointments to help give my body whet it needs to help me heal.

They mean business here. There's a time and place for less expensive massage places, but for serious work, this is where I go to get the aches and knots to go away. I started with Qiana (the owner and founder) and after the first appointment, I knew I was in good hands. The technical part of the massage was excellent, but the dialogue during and after about what was wrong and how to help prevent future aches and pains was invaluable. As the business got more successful, Qiana brought Camryn on board and she is just as friendly, informative and effective. I thought Qiana with her tae kwan do background would have no problems with my 6' 5" frame, but Camryn who I probably outweigh three times, could probably make me cry if she wanted to. Both are well-educated and professional and very pleasant to have conversations with. The price is not on the inexpensive side, but I figure the places that are cheaper usually demand an outrageous tip which brings it close to what BRC is asking for. The new facilities in San Bruno are clean, spacious, and modern and there's plenty of parking.
