I had a wonderful stay at Bluestem Hotel Torrance Los Angel. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful environment, which made my visit so relaxing. What really stood out to me was the thoughtful and stylish design of the hotel. Every detail felt carefully considered, from the layout to the decor. One delightful touch was how the towels were folded into adorable swan shapes—it was such a lovely surprise and added a personal touch to the experience. The hotel is also very clean, and they offer free parking, which is a huge bonus. Another great perk is the location—there are so many good restaurants nearby, making it easy to explore and enjoy amazing food. Quiet, cozy boutique hotel! My brother and I recently stayed at this very nice property while going to medical appointments in Torrance. There is a lovely lobby and pretty courtyard with a water fountain to enjoy while relaxing in the sun. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable with beautifully updated bathrooms and luxurious beds. Plenty of private secured parking with easy access to rooms. The Front Desk Manager was so gracious and attentive, as well as the General Manager. We had a great dinner at The San Franciscan close by. We will return to the Bluestem for our next visit, and highly recommend to others. Also, an excellent value!

We had a great stay with this hotel after having to check out of our airbnb due to some issues with cleanliness. Although, this is more of a motel setup than a hotel as the doors open to the outside. They also had windows you could open to allow in fresh air and with the enclosed parking, it felt safe to leave windows open. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable with coffee, a mini fridge and programmed tv. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which was interesting as the bathroom door provided no privacy. If someone had to go to the bathroom in the night, the light lit up the entire room. The AC was a bit weird. It would run super hard then turn to a fan for the rest of the evening instead of turning on and off to keep the room cool. The swan on the bed was a cute addition. And the lounge indoors/outdoors was super cute with all the Christmas decor and the succulents along side the color theme. And it was a great location for us to see family easily. We were on the bottom floor and you could hear when people would flush their toilets upstairs and the creaking as they moved around in their room.

Bluestem Hotel Torrance is a gem! The beautiful environment and thoughtful design make it a relaxing retreat. I loved the cute swan-shaped towels—it’s those little touches that stand out. Most everything was wonderful and clean. The upstairs guest were very loud and could hear them most of the night. Called the front desk and they took care of it promptly. Appreciated the great service in the delicate hours and nature of issue.

The hotel is just a motel that has small rooms for an overrated price of $185 a night. Beds have only sleeping small square shape pillows, not comfortable at all, I called the front desk and they couldn't help because they only have one type of pillows even if you got a king mattress. Bad WiFi. We found rusted water under all iron bath accessories over the sink which can affect your stuff over the sink like your toothbrush, that's a safety hazard. There is little bit of mildew smell and the the rooms are humid. Everytime you take a shower the room will be like a warm sauna, the bathroom fan doesn't help. Construction noise at 8am made my morning sleep bad and no one ever informed us during check-in or apologized during check-out. Lastly, be aware that the mini bar snacks are overpriced.

This hotel is a hidden gem! We had a lovely stay for our entire family of 17. Normally, we would rent an Airbnb, but we couldn't find one in the area to accommodate our large family. Well, it worked out great for us to stay at the Bluestem. The courtyard is a lovely place for our large family to gather, and we brought in meals so we could avoid the restaurants. And when the little ones were tired, we put them to bed in the room we had a clear view of from the courtyard. And I can't thank the staff enough. They were also very accommodating and kind. Lastly, for being located on a main road, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was in our rooms. And so, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a lovely and affordable place to stay in Torrance.
