Rooms and location were great, but when it comes to service "cheap" is the first word that comes to mind. The room was comfy and quaint, the locations is walking distance from everything, but the staff don't know what they are doing. Ever pay $300 a night and get toast with two tablespoon of microwaved eggs on top and 3 strawberries as breakfast (on Valentine's Day)? Ever be told to get out or a $50 charge for each additional 30 minutes after checkout will be levied, mind you this is a 8 bedroom place and the 1 maid showed up at noon, 1 hour after checkout, with check-ins being at 3pm. They waited and charged us double for handing them the keys at 11:28am. The staff was the main issue. Cheap food, service, nickle and dime you, also all the rooms are the same size but they are hundreds of dollars apart in price. You can find a better place.

We stayed 2 nights at the Blackbird Inn in Aug 2024, the service was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, the breakfast and happy hour were both fantastic. The location was close to downtown with great access to area attractions. I highly recommended Blackbird Inn

What a charming place. It felt like staying with friends. There is a daily happy hour with a charcuterie board and a choice of 2 or 3 wines. Beverages are available (free) throughout the day be it coffee or sodas as well a home cookies. The breakfasts are a nice portion to get you ready for your day of wine tasting. This was a nice find and we would stay here again.

Very comfortable, cozy and homey inn. Clean, beautiful craftsman style building, attentive service. Only issue was difficulty with the old-fashioned locks and keys.

My wife and I stayed here three days and absolutely loved this place. They served you breakfast every morning. Had a beautiful bottle of wine and cheese at 5 PM, a refrigerator with drinks when needed, and all the amenities you need. The room was clean, temperature controlled and spacious. The employees are super friendly and answer any of your questions. It’s located close to everything down Main Street just a few minutes walk away. We highly recommend this place to anybody and will definitely come back with more friends and family in the Spring.

Beware their cancellation policy, which is pretty unforgiving. We booked one night here and wanted to cancel because it was a cold rainy day and winery tours wouldn't be enjoyable at all. They were pretty happy to charge us the same cost as if we stayed.
It seems like it would have been fair enough to charge us half or something, but to just take all our money for nothing really sucks. They still had three open rooms, so it wasn't like we were leaving the last empty at a full hotel.
I'll be more careful next time with policies like this.

We had such an incredible time while staying at The Finch Guest House in November 2021. The staff is absolutely top notch and treat you like family during your stay. Emily was quick to attend to your needs and had the best recommendations for restaurants, wineries, and other local attractions. There were ample sanitizing stations throughout and masks if you forgot one. The food is DELICIOUS! Really!! Kudos to the chef because each breakfast and happy hour snack was unique throughout our 4 night stay. And the cookies.... sooooo good! My little one kept wanting more! We loved having our breakfast and happy hour treats in the gazebo.. so charming! The rooms were spotless when we arrived and the staff took great care to refresh our room during the stay. The bathroom we had was stunning and we loved getting cozy next to the fireplace in the fluffy robes they provide. And I can't leave a review without raving about the craftsmanship of the Blackbird Inn and Finch Guest House - it's absolutely immaculate! I so appreciated all of the little details that went into making the space feel like a luxurious home away from home. I can't wait to come back again!

This is an amazingly restored craftsman Inn that is professionally run. Appreciate a staff member was always on-site and ready to assist. Fresh breakfast, and a wine and cheese every evening. Did I say the craftsmanship of this house was AMAZING! Location is great too, close enough to the shops, restaurants and bars, but far enough away to be quiet at night (+100 double pane windows). Comfortable bed, fireplace in the room. Everything well maintained.
