Absolutely amazing training location with top teir ranges, shoothouses and the like. Both Carolyn and Dean run the lodge and training site, and keep everything very clean and up to standards. Would highly recommend for any teams or instructor courses looking for sites to train.

This is a very nice, rustic place that usually acts as lodging for The Site training center. They offer bunkhouse style rooms and private cabins. There are shared bathrooms and a shared dining facility. They have plenty of room to relax in the lounge and a wonderful firepit. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They offer delicious home cooked meals and have grills you can use.

Excellent accomodations and homemade food. Being you're in the woods at a 40+ acre tactical training center in the middle of nowhere. Great owners and staff. Mrs. Carolynn is a sweetheart. Jim is top shelf. If your training at "The Site" stay, its all part of the experience.

I have had the pleasure of training at The Site and staying at the Black Bear lodge twice. I will absolutely be coming back and would recommend the facilities to anyone interested in training. The thing that makes the Black Bear Lodge special is both Dean and Carolyn. It is absolutely amazing just how much Dean and Carolyn do for everyone who stays at the lodge and attends classes. The Lodge is just as much of the experience as the actual classes and training are.
