I had an extended stay at the Big 7 Motel in Chula Vista and it was a very pleasant stay.

My room was clean, cozy and a good value.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. If I needed more towels, tp, bed linen or if I simply locked myself out of my room and needed another card key to get in, they were happy to help me.

The housekeeping staff are all really friendly and helpful with any requests you may have.

When I checked my son in, who was visiting, we had originally asked for 3 nights, and turns out he only charged us for one night. There was lots of fighting and arguing going on around 3 am. My son Hardley slept as he did not feel safe. The room next to him had someone knocking on it for an hr demanding they be let in. The owner did not seem to understand what we had originally requested, but it was a good thing because my son was not going to stay in such an unsafe place.

The staff here is great. Love the rooms especially the suite. I have been staying here for a while now with no problems. You have everything around stores, bus in front, and trolley a block away.

If there were negative stars available now would be the time to use them. Looked for a budget motel and came across this and thought it doesn’t look too bad from photos. Complete opposite on arrival. This place makes you agree to no refund or return on the room probably because they know you’ll leave soon as you set eyes on it.

The parking lot is super small and from the moment of arrival it did not feel comfortable. Upon check in they made me fill out a form with a lot of information which i found odd since most places usually only ask for ID and Card on check in. Guy didn’t even say much

Was trying to be ambitious until I saw the rooms and didn’t even bother staying. The room was not clean, there was no door frame, and the sofa bed was even worse with dirt around the mattress. Found a brush and the fridge had a red liquid in it. Should’ve taken more pictures to show everything.

Not one to normally leave reviews but had to let everyone know. Please avoid at all costs and save your money and health.

This motel should be avoided. They really have no business being in business in San Diego or anywhere where there is any other hotel option within 20 miles. Here is a summary of what my wife and I encountered: We were in room 219; The door cannot be locked and secured so I put the desk, chair, and our luggage in front of the door; the window in the bathroom has no lock on it, the smoke detector was disconnected, no Kleenex, the blanket on the bed had burn holes in it; (the air conditioner did work fine.) The wall unit housing the refrigerator, microwave, and dresser drawers is rotted and belongs in the trash; no place to hang clothes anywhere in the room, no iron or ironing board, no safe for valuables, no hooks or towel rods in the bathroom. The three towels provided were washed but small, old, and stained. The towels looked like oversized, hand towels, rather than bath towels. The bars of soap are so small. They’re almost like single use bar soap. No hair dryer, no soap dish in shower. There is literally no place to set anything in the shower. Soap and shampoo and gel and razors. Everything can only be set on the floor of the shower. See my pictures for evidence of what we experienced.

I walked in and walked straight out! We saw things that I didn’t even think was on this planet… complete health hazard and the place is crawling with hepatitis. Priceline should be ashamed on putting this on their listing cause this just made me want to pull out a face mask and gloves!

Dude behind the counter was nice.
Room was far from it.
Smelled like an old folks home but even that smell felt like it was covering up something more sinister that didn't warrant an investigation.
Dirty room.
No amount of desperation
Also having a fire alarm would have been nice.
