I’ve never felt so welcomed and at home at a hotel until my recent stay here! Your front desk staff (name started with z) was such a delight !! My plane landed early and I knew it was a long shot to check in before 1pm but I tried anyways . When I got there she stated there was a room available and clean but only best western rewards members were eligible for early check in and she was able to sign me up right there on the spot and get me into my room ! She was awesome. Hotel looked newly remodeled nice clean room , ac worked great. And with the California heat I enjoyed swimming in the pool and laying on the lounge chairs in the gated pool area! I would definitely recommend! I thought it was going to be noisy since I was on the freeway side but I heard nothing and slept like a baby !

We had the BEST experience staying here. My son was getting married and we had a block of rooms. I called in the morning and spoke with Shelly at the front desk. She was just AWESOME! I asked her if there was any way I could check in early to get ready there and being the mother of the groom I had a lot of things to do that day. She not only was able to ask housekeeping to get my room ready for me early, but she accommodated my handicapped brother in law and my mother in law as well and put them on the first floor closest to the lobby so they would not have to walk so far. |Then the next day she printed out some paperwork for us that we needed and found some boxes for me to pack up a bunch of extra stuff that we had from the wedding. Wow! I have never had such wonderful customer service at a hotel! Thank you Shelly for going above and beyond! We appreciate you so much! 😊

The bedding was new like and very comfy. Staff was friendly and made sure we go signed up for our ride to the wedding venue. I appreciated that it was very clean.|We stayed with many folks with a wedding party. so It was great to be able to meet in the dining area for breakfast in the morning.

Close to downtown close to the freeway. The stuff is very friendly The breakfast is amazing. They have waffles bagels. They have a lot of variety of choices cereal. It's amazing it's close to the freeway they have. It's really safe. It's really good place. I love my stay

My experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing, and it all started with the front desk staff—specifically someone named Shelly. From the moment I walked in with my dog, she made it clear she had an issue with us. Her attitude was not only judgmental and rude but also completely unprofessional. Best Western advertises itself as “leaders in pet-friendly hotels,” yet this location was the exact opposite of that.

Shelly never even confirmed my reservation, despite me spelling my last name twice. Instead, she bluntly told me the hotel does not allow pets. Things escalated further when Shelly walked past me to speak with the manager. My dog, Aria, let out a low growl—an entirely normal and protective behavior when a stranger approaches. Rather than understanding or even ignoring the situation, Shelly turned to me and said, “Yeah, no, we can’t have that thing here.” That comment was not only rude but deeply offensive.

Shelly returned and reiterated that dogs weren’t allowed but failed to provide any proof. When I asked to see the policy, she admitted she didn’t know where it was. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager since Shelly clearly lacked the knowledge or professionalism to address the issue.

The manager eventually came over and clarified that the pet policy varies by location and showed me that this specific hotel is listed as “no pets allowed” on the Best Western website. However, I had booked through Expedia, where no such restriction was mentioned. The manager stated that they aren’t required to disclose the no-pet policy on third-party booking platforms. While I understand this might be a misunderstanding due to miscommunication between the platforms, it could have been handled far more gracefully, especially on Shelly’s part.

The real issue here is Shelly. It’s acceptable for a hotel to have a no-pet policy, but it’s not acceptable for a staff member to act in such a rude and condescending manner. She made it seem like my dog was dangerous, failed to provide clear information, and lacked any sense of professionalism or hospitality.

I won’t be returning to this location, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone—whether they’re traveling with a pet or not. Shelly’s behavior reflects poorly on the brand and is a disservice to any guests looking for a welcoming and professional experience.

I use this location for all of my staff that I send to Livermore for training and everyone I send is happy with their accommodations. A special shout out to Lupe for her great attitude and willingness to help, she takes great car of us!

The McGrails winery is a 7-minute drive from this Best Western Vineyard Hotel. Shelly at the front desk provided our wedding guests 1st Class accommodations in every way imaginable! Early check-in, shuttle service back n forth to McGrails Winery, late checkout and a great breakfast. My 96 yr old father arrived before I did so Shelly gave him a key to an open room to take a nap in until we arrived. If you have a group wine tasting day, wedding or just a couple’s romantic weekend you’ll be pleased with the location, staff and cleanliness of this Best Western. Great price too! Thanks Debbie for setting up our rowdy group’s reservations!

The rooms were very clean. The property was also very clean and well kept. Everyone seemed friendly. I had my service animal with me. The front desk staff made a comment about hearing barking the prior night and assumed I left the animal alone in the room which would NEVER HAPPEN, then they had a hard time figuring out my bill so I went back to my room I was exhausted so I fell asleep they came and knocked on my door 4 separate times because they had finally figured out their billing issue. 4 times!! They could have been a bit more courteous and waited I still had a whole night and next day at their property. Each of the 4 times they knocked and woke me up it caused the dog to bark (but the bark wasn't a big deal those 4 times)... You never know what people may be going thru or what's going on with people who come and stay at hotels you should respect their privacy and when a do not disturb sign is on the door you should NOT disturb......
