I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus located at 800 Bay Marina Dr, National City. The property is exceptionally clean, with excellent service and amenities that cater to both short and long-term stays.

Our room (#419) was spacious, featuring a comfortable king bed and essential amenities such as a fridge, microwave, iron, safe deposit box, and more. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The housekeeper did an outstanding job maintaining the room throughout our stay, ensuring everything was spotless and well-organized.

The hotel provides good coffee in the lobby, along with convenient water dispensers, which was a nice touch.

Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked clean and inviting.

Parking was ample and always available, which added to the convenience.

The location is ideal, with easy access to Highway 5 north and south exits, making it simple to drive to various destinations.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-situated hotel!

I had a wonderful stay at this Best Western! The price was very reasonable, but what truly stood out was the exceptional attention to detail. For example, the air conditioning was much quieter than in most hotels, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The breakfast arrangement with the restaurant next door was a pleasant surprise—offering a more refined dining experience compared to typical ‘breakfast included’ options. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything about the experience was excellent, and I will definitely return!

My family were searching for a place for the night and we chose this Best Western Plus hotel location. It was the right choice. Thank you Alfredo upon check-in for giving us for giving us a nice room with separate tub and shower. The hotel is well-kept and extra clean from the lobby to the hallway and in the room. Thank you also to Missael for your kindness and help at the reception desk. We will return when we are back in National City.

It’s a good hotel. With pool and hot tub. Our room was king , spacious. The lobby is cozy. There is a 24-hour coffee service.
The hot tub water was green and smelled strange. I couldn’t figure out why.

First off, I'd like to start off by saying the only reason that I'm giving a 5 star review is to not take away from the person who checked me in. Or else it would be a 2 star for location & being clean.||I've stayed at this location several times before. It's a nice, relaxing,clean & convinent location. I booked a room twice last month, Oct 20th-21st & 27-28th, 2024. I requested early check-in for both. I had no problem on the 20th. I called early Sunday, around 9am on the 27th, and asked to see if anything was available. There was a worker who told me there was nothing available, but I could call back around 12 or 1 to check, I responded that I'd call back in about an hr to check again, didn't seem to pleased but responded saying that it would be fine. The hr went by & I called & asked again, but this time, the response was that the house keeping doesnt start cleaning the room until after 12pm. Which I obviously knew was a lie because clearly the hotel wouldn't offer early check-in from 10-3 if services started that late. On top of that, I've checked in earlier than that before. I didn't understand the attitude or why I was being lied to & made to feel like a fool by being fooled . I said thank you & hung up. I wasn't going to waste time by arguing with someone like that. Clearly, I know this isn't up to the company standards to be lying to paying customers & coming off as if I'm bothering them by calling & asking about availability. As if they're not getting paid to do that service. Clearly, professionalism isn't there. It made me want to cancel my reservation & not go back to that place again . I ended up going to the hotel to find out if I could get some real answers from someone more up to par with their customer service.||I got to the hotel & I had the pleasure of being greeted by Ms. Chuong. I went ahead & informed her of the issue & my confusion. She apologized for the inconvenience & she went ahead & took care of me right away & had me in a room in no time. This isn't the first time I've been fortunate enough to be checked in by Ms Chuong . I had also been checked in by her the week prior & also at the beginning of this yr. So this is the 3rd time I've been taken care of by her & every time, she doesn't seem to miss a beat with meeting more than the expectations. Thank you, Choung!! for the warm welcome & the upbeat attitude & positive vibes you bring to that hotel. It makes a big difference when you have someone who knows how to make people feel good & welcome to the location instead of a bother to them. It is one of the best customer services I've received. I'd leave a 10 if I could. It's the reason I'll continue to give this place a try. This place needs more people with her work ethic.

Decent place to stay. Friendly staff overall with clean rooms. Water pressure is a little low but it gets nice and hot. Convenient location near beaches and attractions. The lobby scent is a little intense. My check in staff was rude, impatient and impertinent. He talked down to me and was snippy. But the rest of the staff were great. Everyone else was friendly and helpful.

Stayed with family for two nights.|Great location for exploring the San Diego area, close to the free way and walkable to the nearest MTS station. Hotel is modern and clean as was our room. Room was spacious and well appointed. Nice pool area and gym. Plenty of free parking. No breakfast was available at the hotel but there was a restaurant across from the entrance that served breakfast.

Not only was everything great, the staff was amazing! From the two young ladies in the morning, to the two gentlemen in the evening and the cleaning staff- it appeared that everyone was there to serve me, and as a guest that feels awesome. The location was great, the room was clean, the lobby and outside were comfortable.... I won't be looking for any other places to stay on my next visits to SD.
