One guest noted, After a day at the Grand Canyon, this was a welcome respite. We were surprised by how nice of a Best Western this was. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. There were many amenities available we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy, but we could see why this is such a popular place.

Probably like most people, I was looking for a place to stay before heading to the Grand Canyon. I usually stay at BW hotels so I decided to give this one a try. With a few exceptions, I really enjoyed my stay. Upon arrival, I noticed a lot of people in the lobby area which I thought was unusual. I was informed that there is a restaurant on site and that the patrons would start to clear out around 9:00 - 10:00pm. That was not a big deal as there was enough parking for everyone and the restaurant "noise" was not audible in my room. The grounds are amazing, you are surrounded by pine trees and cool mountain air. The rooms are nice with an actual bathroom, yes, the sink is actually in the bathroom where it belongs. They also provide the toiletries in wall mounted dispensers. My room had a comfortable bed and lots of space to set things down, including a beverage area right outside of the bathroom. They also have non-disposable glasses
in the room and breakfast dishes are not paper plates. Every employee that I encountered was very friendly. They also have a nice coffee station in the lobby with a few (8?) options. Now the down sides- the rooms weren't as clean as I expected (Dirt around the legs of furniture), the closet door opens parallel to the bathroom door (still better than having the sink outside the bathroom), there wasn't a microwave in my room and the mini fridge didn't have a freezer compartment. Also for some strange reason, their Christmas decorations were still up...in May.

The good: VERY clean rooms and clean everything. Free coffee all the time in the front lobby. The hotel has a really good restaurant/bar inside. The pool and outside area is nice! Driving distance to the grand canyon.
The bad: Customer service at the front desk left much to be desired. The complimentary breakfast was not good and everything tasted rubbery or soggy. No microwaves in the room, which was very inconvenient. There was barking dogs at night.

The room was clean and comfortable. I stayed midweek and it was quiet. Onsite breakfast was good and the inhouse lounge and restaurant were very good. The staff were all outstanding. Only downside is it is about 1 mile from actual downtown Williams but is located in a forested area that is quite beautiful. Closer to the Grand Canyon than Flagstaff in my opinion and downtown Williams is very walkable and a lot of fun.

Our first stay here and we will be back. Check in easy and staff so very helpful. Rooms nicely decorated, bed so comfy and nice selection of pillows. The view from the room was beautiful . Good quality products in the bathroom. We went to the bar for Happy Hour and the bar tender was extremely sociable in spite of how busy he was. Had supper at the steakhouse at the hotel and it was very good

We planned our first visit to Arizona in April of this year.Of course we wanted to visit the Grand Canyon but did not want to stay in the park. I reserved the Best Western Plus for a three night stay. I can not say anything but good things about our time there. Our room was very attractive had everything we needed, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had our first meal upon our arrival in their steakhouse restaurant. It was served in a beautiful room in front of a large fireplace looking out over a wonderful Mountain View. |I wholly recommend anyone not minding an hour drive to the Grand Canyon to look into this gem located in Williams on a road leading into a beautiful location.

This is one of the nicest best westerns that I have stayed at. I am a rewards member so I have stayed at more than a few. My room was large for a single king. They are pet friendly. I brought my greyhound with me. They gave her a welcoming milk bone dog biscuit. The floors are nice wood tiled and the room was gorgeous. My mini split AC heater worked wonderfully well. It maintain a nice temperature of 65° all night. The location of the hotel is at the very end of town next to I-40 entrance ramps. I did not hear any interstate noise and I only heard the train one time. there is a restaurant and bar at this hotel. The restaurant was excellent. Very good meals! It’s a little pricey but this is a tourist town and is to be expected. I stuck with the lower priced items. The service was excellent. Because I had a dog with me, I ordered all my meals from my room and they called me when they were ready for pick up. The restaurant staff was very conscientious to provide utensils and premium containers for my food. The morning breakfast buffet is from 6:30am until 9:30am. It was well stocked and delicious! The area surrounding the hotel is wooded and steep sloped. But there are dog walking areas that are convenient and sections of the wooded areas in the front corner of the property are level for dog walking and border on national Forest land. There is a quaint county park, Cataract Lake county park conveniently close by. I stayed three nights and I would stay there again. I loved it there.

TLDR: comfortable rooms, beautiful views, nice staff. A gift shop, lounge and restaurant are available (although I would probably skip the restaurant if you want better, less expensive food with faster service- I’ll write a separate review for the steakhouse.

I didn’t get pics of the pool or hot tub which are outside, but I did get a video of the gas fire pit, the outdoor games and the beautiful mountainous views.

We went for a walk outside and found some trails, saw some deer, but also some animal skeletons so maybe don’t go hiking alone 🤣 spoookkyyyyy 👻

The view from our room was really nice.

Overall we had a nice stay.
