This is one of the better Best Western hotels I've stayed at. Gave it 4 instead of 5 for 3 reasons. One, thebed was hard and pillows, for me, we're not great. Housekeeping did a nice job, but my bed was still a bit wrinkly most days, and they forgot a bathmat one day. Nothing major. Last thing. There is no microwave in the room. Big deal for this traveling worker. They had one in the lobby, but eh. Also, washer and dryer prices were a bit high at 4 dollars a load. The room was clean right on the lake. They were very nice views. Sorry I didn't tka pictures.

We had a room with a very picturesque view of the lake. The staff here are super friendly. A restaurant (in the same building) made it so convenient that we did not have to drive out for dinner. Lots of free parking for employees and hotel guests and restaurant guests. The laundry facility was very useful for us. Awesome Best Western location.

Rooms were nice and welcoming. Beautiful lake view behind the hotel. Only issue was that the lady in the kitchen got behind on breakfast. We went to breakfast at 830 and nothing hot was available and the waffle machine was out of batter. Wasn't too big of a deal for us but definitely could've been for somebody that was relying on it before work or a long day of traveling.

Staff was super friendly. I used the laundry facility which was helpful. Really great view form our balcony too. Breakfasr choices changed a bit daily. Dairy free and gluten free items were available too. I will definitely stay here again on future visits.

The location is awesome. If your not from Alaska. Aside from that. The service was mediocre. I mean. I check in early. So they let me do that. That was pretty cool. But they never told me prior to checking in that the TV dosent work. If they would of told me that prior to checking in. I would of never stayed. That's one issue. The other issue is that the room smelled like dried fish. I told the staff. They gave me febreeze which was nice. My only issue is that I told the assistance manager about my issue. I wasn't being like a Karen. I wasn't rude about it. Just told her. She did not care at all. Didn't say I'm sorry. Was their anything she could do to help me. Nada. Which is pretty ridiculous. SEEING how I payed almost 200 to stay in a fish box smelling room. Which I decided wasn't for me. I just couldn't take it. So I check out same day. I told the front desk lady yesterday evening about my issue. She just look at me like I was an idiot. Like I didn't just come out of that room that litteraly smelled like fish. I know. It's alaska. Right next to the water. It's bound to smell like a little fishy . I get that. My conclusion to all of this and my rant. Is to have more compassion for your customers. Exspecially when we're basically paying your salary or wages when it comes down to it. Just be more accommadating. Exapeially when this was me and my girl anniversary get away. And had to cut it short because of it. . Will not be coming back here.

We made our reservation way in advance because we were traveling from Florida and when we arrived we were told that the hotel had overbooked. We were so pleased that our original room was upgraded at no additional charge to a suite! Thank you and we look forward to booking a stay again soon!

Clean and quiet stay nice beds and a good area for the dogs to stretch there legs after a long drive

About 50 minutes from the Anchorage Airport, this was a solid choice for our first night in Alaska before heading further north. The king bed room was equipped with a comfortable bed, a nice “Alaska-sized” easy chair and a desk with chair. Both sides of the bed had bedside tables, and there were both a bench and a luggage rack. For our suitcases. The bathroom had a large vanity and a modern shower with good temperature controls and water pressure. (Being short, I did have a hard time with the shower height being so high above my head. ) The towels varied from fairly absorbent to fairly rough. The hair dryer was basic but functional. I would have welcomed a make-up/shaving mirror. The staff members were pleasant at check-in and responsive when we needed an extra towel. The view from our room was of the parking lot, but the property does have a nice view of the lake from its terrace and some rooms.||There is a modest complimentary breakfast. Pastries were not replenished promptly, so it might be smart to get there when they open. ||If you need any supplies before heading to Denali, please note that the last supermarket before Fairbanks is in Wasilla, so stock up before leaving the area.
