TL;DR:
Strongly advise against this hotel. The experience was marred by faulty room access, indifferent staff, unsanitary conditions, and a general sense of insecurity. Although affordable, the stress and discomfort far outweigh any cost benefits.

Check-in Complications: After a long 8-hour drive to SoCal, I discovered that the keys to my room didn't work. This led to three frustrating trips back and forth from the room to the office, seeking a solution.

Key Lock Failure: The key lock to my room was out of order, a fact only discovered after multiple failed attempts to enter. This issue left me unable to access my room where I had stored all my valuables and work-related items.

Uncooperative Staff: Initially, the front desk staff seemed to dodge my questions and appeared unwilling to assist. It was only after I pulled my phone and started recording the interaction on my phone, insisting on not being ignored, that they took action.

Dramatic Entry: Past 2 AM, the staff had to bang on the window and break it. I had to climb through a broken window just to retrieve my possessions.

Room Change and Refund: After the window incident, I was assigned a new room. Though I did receive a refund for the first night, it hardly compensated for the ordeal.

Poor Room Quality: The bed in the new room was incredibly squeaky and had a distinct, unwashed odor, suggesting poor hygiene standards.

Unsanitary Bathroom: The bathroom's cleanliness was questionable, highlighted by a roach encounter while using the toilet.

Sketchy Environment: The motel, admittedly cheap, seemed to house some long-term residents who contributed to an uneasy atmosphere.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The bathroom was also well kept. I do recommend if you are in the area to check this place out. You shouldn't be disappointed. Looks like it has been upgraded with new modern furniture with USB ports.

Really nice newly updated rooms.
I normally don’t even notice tvs in motels, but they actually put in nice, large lg tvs.
Tile in the bathroom. Laminate floors.
Super proper.
Check in takes 5 minutes literally, super chill

The room that l was assigned is very clean and it looks like it was renovated recently. Price is decent and the front desk gentleman is helpful. I forgot to return the key during my check out but the lady said its ok. I recommend the place.

This hotel is not like he used to be before. The new owners have let it go down. The staff is rude and the room is expensive. The room had cockroaches and was dirty. The sink was clogged. People in the rooms next-door or outside the door with people coming in and out even up to 3 AM. The next morning I spoke with the staff to see if they would accommodate me and it only wanted to charge more money. They did not take into consideration the issues I had. I was going to stay tonight

I booked this motel based on the reviews. I just want to know who wrote these reviews...employees? I will give that the room smelled clean and appeared clean but the handwriting on the wall...literally...was still there under marginal painting. Not only was there writing but there was red splatter marks that had not been painted over. There was poor patching of damaged walls and doors. The staff was obviously hiding something when she lied to a woman who wanted to switch to a non smoking room because her non smoking room smelled like smoke. My husband was present during this conversation as well as a gentleman who had called, just minutes prior, to see if a vacancy was available; the clerk told the man there were many vacancies available. My husband and I have limited ambulation and we had reserved a bottom floor but she said she didn't have the information and when we showed her the reservation slip she said there no bottom rooms available and were placed at the second floor-no elevators. Washington blvd is a very busy street so if you are wanting quite...look elsewhere. The bed was very hard, the pillows soft, there were cigarette holes in sheet and if you want television with maybe 3 english speaking channels then this is the place for you. We were there two nights for a family reunion in town but never, never again. I've stayed in some poor hotels but this is the worst. Please be truthful when posting because people, like me, trust your reviews.

The lobby is super clean, the staff is friendly and professional. The room was clean, smelled good. No complains.|They ask for a $5 deposit for the key and tv remote and when you check out you get it back. |I slept like a baby, no loud notices, good sound insulation in the walls.

Booked for New Year's Eve and was I disappointed. The receptionist was not friendly at all. The first room she gave us smelled like a cigarette and then some. Gave us another room where the tub was not clean and the comforter was nasty. We had the room for a total of maybe an hour and a half and could not get a refund or a discount. You have to give a $5 deposit for a huge key. Who in the world would want to take that key home? Do not recommend this Inn to anyone.
