My husband and I had the opportunity to go on an excursion/sea adventure with Captain Ron, Andy and Big D. It was such an informative and interactive experience that we will never forget. We saw them perform multiple types of fishing and crabbing while they told us stories about their expertise and experiences. The ship was beautiful, well-maintained and all around fun to be on. We got to have small talk with them and really felt like we were part of the crew. We also purchased their book (Bering Se Crab Fishermen’s Tour, A History at Sea) and couldn’t put it down. We highly recommend spending a few hours with this awesome crew.

Thanks- George and Lindsay, Woodland, WA

The knowledge and experiences shared are beyond any tour I've ever taken. I will definitely be booking this tour again on my next Alaskan adventure. Thank you all for a truly unique and memorable experience.

We are on the Norwegian Joy cruise ship, with a first stop in Ketchikan, AK. We took the Bearing Sea Crab Fisherman’s Tour from Ward Cove. This tour is an ABSOLUTE MUST! The CREW!! Captain Dave, Big “D”, and Dave…along with the beautiful deck hands who we apologetically cannot remember the names of…were informative, entertaining, and very skilled in fishing Alaska and the Bearing Sea. Their true stories were captivating from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” - Season 2, to the heroic and challenging life stories that left you happy for their success and even saddened for so many friends lost along the years. You learned of sacred Tribal lands surrounding the bay and how the success of their tour business is able to support those Tribes. The tour takes you through beautiful calm waters around a reservation where Bald Eagles are abundant and flying all around you. Trust us, the incredible photo opportunities are more than you can capture! You learn of long line fishing while experiencing the actual catch and release of beautiful Alaskan halibut. Next you can hold live prawns, live snow crab, Rock King Crab, starfish….and you meet their friend the octopus who tags along for an educational lesson about the smartest creatures of the sea. There are live demonstrations and did we mention the gift shop and option to snack on fresh King Crab with melted butter
This tour will forever stay in our hearts and if you have the opportunity to take it, please remember to donate to the memorial fund on board in support of the families whose fishermen did not come home. Thank you Captain Dave, Big D, Dave, and Team for your beautiful hospitality!!

The absolute best tour in town, worth every penny.
The entire crew was knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and very personable, their stories were very interesting to listen to.

We saw a lot of bold eagles flying right over/in front us as the crew attracted them to the boat, they demonstrated us how they catch different types of crabs ect.

There is gift shop on board with souvenirs and some refreshments and also fresh crab legs with butter, overall it was a great experiences.
If you in Ketchikan make sure you go in their tour.

Awesome experience with Andy, Big D, and Captain Ron. Definitely knowledgeable and made the tour fun with their stories. Got to hold crabs, starfish, and shrimp. To top it off we saw a ton of Bald Eagles and watched them snatch fish right out of the air. This tour is great for anyone. Also got some tasty crab 😉

What an experience! This tour was the best way to spend the day in Alaska. Great for any age, but my 10 and 12 year old LOVED it. Learned so many things about crabbing and got to touch everything. You can tell the group leading it has so much experience and true willingness to want to be together working on this boat. I cannot recommend it enough and it was much more than I expected.

This tour is a must if you go to Alaska. Whether you are a fan of “Deadliest Catch” or not you will enjoy the experience.
All the guys and gals will make you feel welcome and make sure you are comfortable and have a great time.
The tour gives you an insight into the fishing industry in Alaska and the crew share their experiences which makes this tour so special.
You get to see and hold many species and see how they are caught.
The bonus of the trip is the Bald Eagles.
I will definitely take this tour again if I am back in Ketchikan.
Thanks guys.

Wow what a fabulous excursion! Was on my bucket list to do this one, and did not disappoint. The crew are very entertaining and we learned a lot! Hard to say our favourite part but feeding the bald eagles and experiencing the on board sea life was wonderful. Thank you for everything.
