We can't say how much we appreciated the owner of this hotel on our visit during the eclipse. We contacted him only days before, and he gave us the standard room rate. When we arrived we discovered a kindred spirit in the owner as all of us discussed our photography equipment and viewing plans. The rooms were comfortable and clean. He gave us great restaurant recommendations. Five star all the way!

This place is the lowest. Rooms are trash they have buckets that you have to fill to be able to flush the tiolets. They go into your rooms after you leave. Manager is rude and money hungry and will lie to you just try to get more money. And when you confront him he will lie and make excuses for his actions. Nothing is updated nor does it look like it ever has. Key room keys don’t want half the time and he will make you pay just to for him to fix the problem and get a new key.

Oh no, this place is disgusting, but that's not what you go here for. You go here to get away for cheap, and you'll get that. It was quiet, and the staff was cool. I just wouldn't stay here if you want a nice, clean experience. One of my beds had a (small) blood stain, so I slept in the other. One of the towels wasn't clean, so I just didn't use those. It smelled like they tried to clean up the place, but it wasn't very thorough. No one bothered me on my two day stay, though, so I appreciated that.

We only stayed here because our car was being worked on down the street. Honestly there is nothing good to say about this place. The rooms are old, rundown and filthy. Hair all over the bathroom, including the shower. No toilet paper, no towels, wash rags etc. All the electrical sockets were without covers, the bed linens were dirty (we covered the bed with our own blankets) microwave was gross and no glass plate. No nightstands. No lamps, just an overhead light with only half of the bulbs working. Ice machine didn't work. The key slider barely worked, had to get the key reran at the office already an hour after checking in because it didn't work in the door.

I could type for hours about it. I'm scared to fall asleep in this place. The only good thing honestly is they have cable.

Never will we ever stay here again.

Not too bad. It covered what I needed. Bath, beds, internet service, microwave, vending machines, and mini fridge were provided. The owner was friendly. The fish and chips place next door wasn't bad. Very close to town which was nice for the DraculaFest event I attended to meet and listen to Dacre Stoker talk about how Beam wrote Dracula.

Stopped in Belleville to avoid the city (St. Louis) on our way down to Oklahoma. Excellent place to stay. I called and reserved a single queen room, but upon arrival, there was a maintenance issue so I was given a double queen room at no extra charge. the rooms decor was very unique and cool. everything was clean and functional. the TV/computer set up was really modern and awesome. they had brochures for near by eateries which we took full advantage of. it was a dirt cheap stay with surprising excellent rooms. only complaint is a broken tile in the bathroom. felt very safe and slept perfectly.

Guy behind the check in window was rude af. He was actually mad at me for him not being able to provide a room. I can totally understand if the place is booked. But to blame me for it?! Dude! Just say "I'm sorry we're booked".No other explanation needed. I would not even stay here in an emergency.

I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who asked. I have stayed here off and on for the past year. My last visit was over the top. The owner and his wife went out of there way for me and my family. They have affordable rooms. I have never had a problem with them coming into my room when i am gone. The rooms are always kept clean. If ever you need anything all you have to do is ask. They have all types of rooms to fit your needs and they are not to expensive. I would choose this hotel over any of the bigger hotels any day. I will be back on Valentines day to enjoy the sweetheart room!!!
