Poorly maintained hotel. We had to change rooms 3 times: first room had a wet bathroom floor due to a dripping ceiling vent; we could not get the room keys to work in the door to the second room; third time’s the charm? Not really! Room was shabby with dirty walls, doors, and countertops. Furniture was very worn. Draperies were broken and sagging so that they could be closed properly. Towels were stained with dirt. Bed sheets had a long hair and crumbs on it when the bed cover was drawn down. Bed cover was stained. Not much good to report. I do not recommend staying here.

AN UPDATE: After sending our review about this hotel to Wyndham corporate offices they contacted us to let us know that they were sending to the Baymont Inn. Baymont Inn subsequently contacted us to tell us that they were refunding our money.

When you walk into the lobby for check-in you are greeted promptly with the feeling that Akira and the rest of the front desk staff are really happy to see you. The housekeeping staff makes sure your room is clean, and you don't need any additional items, like extra pillows, towels and soap. Even though US Hwy 231 is right there the property is quiet. Denard ( Manager) made sure that we had ice when the Ice Machine was out of order and made sure the next morning it was fixed.

Positive: Nothing! Negative: The room was non-smoking but smelled of smoke! The sink was dirty, the floor was dirty! There was no hot water in the shower. The sink had hot water but after trying to run the shower the hot water in sink remained cold!! DID NOT GET MORNING SHOWER! ?

When another hotel cancelled my reservation last minute because of my dog this hotel accepted us with no issues. It was further away from the hospital then the other hotel was. This is my go to place moving forward when in Alabama. Even slept wonderfully every night we were there.

Neither myself nor any of my colleagues will ever go back to a hotel with the name Wyndham or Baymont on or in it after this experience.
I booked and paid for a room for two nights WEEKS in advance (Thanksgiving and the Friday after.) I checked in Thanksgiving around noon and everything had been fine until Friday evening after dinner. When my girlfriend and I return to our room on Friday night after around 10:00 p.m. we noticed that our key cards did not work, even though they had worked fine the entirety of this day and the day before. and we had been in and out several times throughout that day and obviously Thanksgiving. I went down to the office and asked the woman at the counter what was going on, and she replied that nobody was staying in my room because she could not see it in the computer I showed the woman working my receipt email, along with the confirmation number, the receipt that her other employee gave me when I checked in the previous day showing that I had paid for both Thursday and Friday night weeks ago, as well as both of my keys, and stated to her that all of our stuff is in that room and we have paid for another night and showed you several proofs, and do not understand why we are still being treated like we are up to something? It is very cold and I would like to return to the room where my stuff is that I have showed you that I have purchased for this evening.
She then calls the manager,(the rudest gentleman I've ever met) because she cannot find me in the system, then he arrives and cannot find me in the system and begins to bang on the glass loudly and scream at me, having not heard one word from me yet when I try to show him the same proof of purchases that I have showed the employee. He then has the police come and escort me and my girlfriend off the premises after thank God letting us clear our belongings out of the room first. On the way out the police stop me and tell me that he has now ironically found my proof of purchases in his system and sees that my check out is not till 11:00 a.m. the next morning, however, refuses to let me stay in the hotel because he is afraid that I will cause damage to the room because of the misunderstanding. Yes, you are hearing me correctly, even though they had us stand out in the cold for almost an hour, escorted off the premises by the police, and then found out that they were 100% in the wrong, they still would not let us stay. What if we would have not had the money to get another hotel? In 42 years on this planet I have never been treated like this, the manager/owner whatever of this establishment should be embarrassed, and it is not a surprise that all of the reviews on this page are terrible!!! How do you even stay open with three cars in your lot on Thanksgiving weekend, you think you wouldn't want to have to refund one of your three guests money, probably why the police said your license plate has been expired for several months, lol. Maybe when you get three more guests on a holiday weekend you can get that fixed, Christmas is coming up, you know! I hope your business continues to fail, have a great day!

This should be close and condemned this is the worst place to stay in Alabama big roaches what try to cool off in the refrigerator dirty sheets bc housekeeping is nasty nothing works as it should u have to change room over and over bc AC not working in one room or not hot water in another or to many Roaches that will be waiting for u in bed who owns this place it's 3rd world bad if u want to punish ur kids make them sleep there for the weekend

This is the last time I book a Baymont/Wyndham property for anything. This is the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in and if it wasn't the middle of the night with no other options nearby I would leave and demand a refund. ||The curtain doesn't close all the way but my husband rigged up a coat hanger to keep it closed. The deadbolt on the door doesn't work and the chain lock is missing the doorside component. There is weird white powder on the TV stand (Borax maybe? (We hope) because THERE ARE ROACHES) and the bottom of the TV stand is peeling off... |The AC makes a horrible noise. The cabinets are falling off the bathroom cabinet, the bathroom door doesn't close because of swollen water damage at the bottom, and the baseboards are peeling away from the wall. There are dead bugs in the lights, and on the ceiling in the bathroom. At least the sheets are, or appear to be clean. Only need a few hours sleep before we head out again but I'd rather sleep in my car at a rest area than this hotel. It should be condemned.
