I have a zero-star review for this business and Melissa. Unprofessional & completely unethical. DON'T BOOK THIS WOMAN!! My wedding was in March of this year, & we had chosen the Wigwam Resort as our venue. After securing the venue, we realized, in two months, there was no way we could organize a wedding. We reached out to Melissa via virtual meeting, explained we needed a partial coordinator. The conversation seemed to go well so we hired her. What was presented, however, was opposite of what we received. She is 100% not organized. She will make you believe that she is all about you & your day. She will tell you not to worry, but the "WORRY" was a natural reaction to my instincts. She told our Officiant that the choice we made for our slide show was going to look tacky. She tried to get us to only use half of a room we reserved for our reception saying it would look horrible & too large trying to cram 60 people in a 1500 sq ft area with tables & a dance floor. She made rude remarks about my sister-in-law while we were trying to rehearse because she asked a lot of questions wanting to make sure she understood her part. Melissa has no patience for someone wanting an event to be nice.
She had another wedding booked at her own venue on the same day as my wedding. First, she said that she would be splitting her time between both & assured me that things would still go as planned. Then, it turned out that she was not going to even be at our venue. She had a 17-year-old, who works with her & a friend she brought in from Anaheim, CA to be present and orchestrate my $25,000 wedding. The timeline was not given to the DJ & the whole crew disappeared for over an hour to eat. The photographer had no clue on when to take pictures; especially the infamous dip kiss that we had to practice for. No dip kiss photo! No photos of our grand entrance. The tables during cocktail hour were supposed to be wrapped with greenery. That didn't happen. I purchased 60 glow wands & those were supposed to be set up for guests to use. Where are they? They lost my cake topper & tried to substitute another. After we started bringing the chaos to Melissa's attention, she said she was almost done at the other wedding & could be to us in 20 minutes. Never showed up! I had 4 signs that were to be placed on front row chairs in remembrance of both of our parents. Instead of them being hung on the chairs, were lying flat so people could just sit on them. There were also supposed to be roses placed on the chairs. I made a box for the bouquet that ladies could use a key to unlock to get the bouquet. I put tea lights in it & had the conversation with Melissa that there were a ton of extras just in case. Of course, the lights weren't on when it came time. I had to find the key to unlock the box & turn the lights on myself. I texted Melissa about this. She said, I got a picture of you & the lights were on. Yes, the picture was after I turned them on myself. Is this really how you handle yourself, Melissa? You could clearly see the stress I was under & how special this day was. I gave you the benefit of the doubt & you only lied. Lied about your service, lied about your abilities, lied about results. Boutonnieres were placed in a room we stayed in prior to the wedding rather than the ready room for the groom & groomsmen. They were delivered to a room no one was getting ready in. No one had boutonnieres. No vow books as promised. I bought them myself. I'm not really sure, other than her referring a photographer & DJ, what she really did. Once the DJ finally received the timeline, timing was off. People were leaving. They found my cake topper & then before we could do the cake cutting, my cake fell from the table on to the floor. Melissa passed the blame again, to the Wigwam staff, claiming that they put the cake out too early. "My apologies." "We will chat tomorrow." Never happened... I'm still waiting, Melissa! No call, no follow-up, just a ghost. Unbelievably unprofessional & will not fix a problem when it happens, that is if she even shows up to your wedding.

I had to come to post a raving review for the venue and Melissa. We couldnāt have had a better outcome with our event. Back in January we were able to book our event for October 26th and seemed so far away. Now that the party had came and went, I couldnāt be more grateful to have went through Melissa n the Venue. Melissa handled everything and took care of everything. She coordinated with the vendors we used and even gave recommendations for what else we needed.
Our family celebrated my grandparents 65th Wedding Anniversary and 85th Birthdays. We had family from all over come and NOT ONE person had anything but praise for the venue and set up. I was able to show up at party start time and leave right after party was over. Melissa and her team handled everything else!!!! I would HIGHLY Recommend using the venue and Melissa ! I am already trying to figure out what to host next here!

We booked the venue for our wedding October 12th. We got the 2nd package $6500 that stated a portable bar and licensed bartender included (later found out it was her husband), closer to our wedding date Melissa charged us an additional $500 stating our package didnāt include a bartender being so close to the date we felt we had no other option but to pay. The day of the wedding the $350 Photo Booth wasnāt working multiple guests brought it to Melissaās attention and said she told them she was working on it with an attitude! But it never got fixed. Melissa didnāt stay on schedule at all we didnāt get to do a bouquet toss, dollar dance, cut the cake or play the music from the minute and second she asked us to get so she could play which was unnecessary stress added on us for her not to play it from where we wanted. When we spoke to Melissa about getting a refund for the $350 Photo Booth she told us that when she checked the cameras some kids had messed with the photo booths printer and thatās why it was messed up, which we felt was an excuse to say it was our fault and not be refunded but if she had fixed it when asked on multiple occasions it wouldnāt have been an issue Melissa also brought to our attention that our food vendor needed help serving so Melissa kindly had her mom, niece and I think son help serve she told us she usually charges $250 for having her people help and she said the food vendor gave her niece $50 and asked if we wanted to leave it as it is so she could pay her workers but that wouldāve been $100 unnecessarily paid when again she couldāve just fixed the Photo Booth like she was asked to do multiple times!!! I told her no that weād like the money back and her attitude completely changed she clearly got pissed off and at the end rudely hung up! We got a refund finally almost a month after the event! Melissa made the process unnecessarily long and frustrating. She told us her accountant was going to send the money in a check which was upsetting considering it was family owned so Iām assuming a family member handles the money and we thought it would be a quick process which we were very wrong! Our money wasnāt returned in the same form of payment it was sent out nor was it returned in a timely manner and additionally she said a check was being sent but didnāt have my address nor my husbandās and she didnāt even say where it would be sent! Or if we had to pick it up. We felt like we had to beg for our money back! Which was the reason we held back on writing a review with her complete 360 attitude we didnāt know what sheād do if we made an honest review before she had sent out money back. In the end Melissa sent me the money back via Apple Pay which was ridiculous and confirmed my suspicions about her just making the process unnecessarily long and frustrating for us because she was upset. My husband and I were disappointed with the customer service end but happy that at least the venue was beautiful. If booking for a wedding Iād highly recommend working with another wedding planner and getting an outside bartender (many guests told us after that he was very rude). Our experience overall with Melissa was not pleasant she doesnāt have good time management, easily stressed, lacks taking accountability and becomes a different person when things donāt go her way.

Please do not rent your events for this place. They scam people out of their money. Close friends of our paid for the 7 thousand package and the party was shutdown by police at 10pm. I wish they wouldāve known that this place does not have a permit and their parties get shut down after quiet hours due to music. Our friends lost money and couldnāt give their daughter a proper Quinceanera celebration due to the unprofessionalism from this person renting out the venue. They did not comply with contract and did also not meet the contract there was a lot of things missing and abide by the contract. Also their contract never stated anything from music but party was shut down by city police and owners of this even know that their parties will be shut down due to not having the permit nor permission to host events here. Police city let our friends aware that they always have to come shut down parties here due to owner not having proper permits/licensing. If you do not want to get scammed or lose money please do not rent this location for your special occasions they will come up with excuses.

We had our parents 65th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend and this place was fabulous. They helped us with everything we never had any problems with the Venue or its staff! I give 10 stars!! I truly recommend this Venue location! Cheers!

If you book your event here be warned that you have a 100% chance of the police showing up. Please consider a legit destination for your event!!!! This āvenueā operates without a permit in a private residential neighborhood. Police and county officials are well aware of the situation. According to the county as of April 22nd this āvenueā will also have a cease and desist order in place.
