Stopped by before my dance lesson across the street. I was helped by Gage who was incredibly nice and even provided additional options for my earl gray tea. Love the place and the service!

I stopped this coffee shop (if that's what is actually is) this morning after noticing it last night. Inside, there were buffet-style serving dishes and a crowd of people. Down the way, I spotted a sign for someone's birthday and assumed the place was closed for a private event. However, my husband noticed the Avenue Brew door was unlocked, so he went in and stood in line.

I reluctantly followed, only to realize it was a private party. Every single person stared at us like we'd brought a farm animal into the room. It was incredibly awkward, so we left.

There was no clear signage indicating whether the coffee bar was open to the public, and I had no idea the shop was connected to a children's play area. The setup made no sense, and the lack of clarity turned what should have been a quick coffee run into an uncomfortable experience. Clear signage would have been the professional choice, and because of this confusion, I won't be returning.

So excited this coffee spot opened in the play place near us! They use WeBe beans (local coffee I’m obsessed with) and they make the best cold foam. The baristas are always so kind and brighten up my mood. They also have my favorite pastries from JL Patisserie. I send all my baby & me yoga students here after class! If you have young children I highly recommend bringing them here for a little coffee/play date with your mom friends!

As a parent having the option to just let anyone off the street to come into a kids indoor play establishment to grab coffee or hang out is very unsettling. How do you know some creep isn't just coming in for “coffee” and watching the kiddos. Most kid places will not allow anyone in the building without a kiddo themselves for this reason. Great idea for the parents who are doing playtime with their kiddos. Horrible business model to allow just anyone in to get a coffee where kids go to play. I thought this would be a safer option than taking my kid to the park.

When I stepped foot into Avenue brew, I wasn't fully sure what to expect. There was a nice lady named Lucy who, upon entry, greeted me with a warm smile into the coffee shop. From there, Yana the barista made me the best matcha I have ever had. Yana and Lucy made my visit a 5 star!

This was my first visit to Avenue Brew, as they opened a few weeks ago and what a GREAT addition to the neighborhood!! Admittedly I only ordered a black coffee, but it was fantastic and so were the staff. Very friendly and helpful. I don’t have children yet, but I can’t wait to take them to this space when I do!! If you have children and are looking for place to take them in the summer months when it’s too hot to go outside, the concept I was told is “an outdoor playground brought inside” — I should have taken pictures it’s darling.
