Great staff, clean rooms, upgraded lobby.

Only area for improvement would be to address the long wait times at the coffee shop. Too much time is consumed in specialty drinks when all I want is a quad shot espresso. Serving a customer shouldn't take over 10 minutes. Clearly this is a problem since there's a sign stating a drink maximum when only one person is behind the bar. If not then this isn't a coffee shop, more like a pretentious Starbucks.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. Windows and lobby dusty and outside of hotel dusty and in need coat of paint. Must be difficult due to proximity to soil/ sand on road and beach. Excellent coffee shop in Lobby. Easy walk to Subway and other Restaurants.

I got stuck in Nome overnight due to a Bering Air delay, they would not let me stay here because I was not 21. In doing so they interfered with my ability to engage in interstate commerce. Although the hotel looked charming, I unfortunately must recommend that guests Mush to the Nugget instead.

Great location in proximity to the main part of town, though far enough away from the main hustle and bustle of Front Street. The room was spacious and clean with a safe, a mini fridge, microwave, spacious countertop, and room to hang coats.
I also really appreciate the coffee shop (Tundra Delights) right in the spacious lobby, as well as the free hotel coffee available by the front desk.

The hotel is of a high standard for the area, and the on-site coffee shop is highly recommended. The staff were extremely courteous and made the best frappe I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend both the hotel and the coffee shop.

Me and my husband stayed here for four days couple years ago, we were weathered in Nome. I wish they discounted for shareholders of the corporation. Nice place quiet too. Little far from grocery store but that is ok too. Milano’s pizza is right down street so is the theatre and subway.

It was a nice place, I had the kitchenette suite on then 2nd floor. No elevators. The rooms were renovated. Was clean, one night was kind of noisy, but other nights were quiet. No wifi for guests. The dryer for laundry was noisy.

We were impressed by the Aurora Inn, finding it to be a very modern and comfortable hotel especially given that it is located in a small, remote town in Alaska. The hotel is located across the road from the beach right near the eastern end of Front Street, the main waterfront street in Nome. Unfortunately, we didn’t get an ocean view room, instead having a back parking lot view. The room was large, clean, and well-maintained. There was a small kitchenette however there were no plates, silverware, utensils, etc. so not really very useful. There was Wifi at the hotel but you generally have to pay extra for it which we didn’t like. The town is small enough such that you can pretty much walk everywhere – restaurants, supermarkets, rec center, etc. There was no gym on site so we made use of the nearby rec center where they had a great weight room. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also rented a car (Ford Explorer) from the hotel for the duration of our stay and were very happy with that – no problems. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to other visitors to Nome.
