20 years ago I had a halibut sandwich at Apollo...changed my whole perspective on fish. Now I love seafood 2 decades later! Still has amazing fish and chips! My veggie people LOVED the veggie calzone!

We recommend ordering the breadsticks and the shrimp (prawns) saganaki as an appetizer. The shrimp had a sweet flavor that went perfectly with the garlic and butter -- and dipping the breadsticks in the sauce was delicious. We ordered the grilled halibut that was done perfectly, and we loved the seasonings. The grilled vegetables were also amazing -- I wasn't a fan of the pasta but that is probably more personal preference. We also ordered the Gyro which came with a generous portion of meat and excellent tzatziki. We are aware of regional differences in preparations and the local version of the Gyro with the fried Pita wasn't what we expected. Personally, we prefer the pita warmed and maybe with a little char from a hot grill -- but definitely not fried. That said, overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the food and preparation. Our servers were fantastic and though the restaurant itself is very basic, playing Greek music in the background was a nice touch.

The chicken parm we ordered wasn’t breaded it was rather soggy. Nothing to write home about…Looked like it had been microwaved it was PIPING hot. We also ordered the bbq burger that was served with very crispy fries, the burger itself good. That being said an hour or so later we were sick to the point of projectile vomiting. In an otherwise empty restaurant we were seated right next to the only other diners. We tried several times to get service but we ended up having to grab napkins ourselves, we had to ask several times to get a refill.

Looking for a mouth-watering meal in downtown Seward? Look no further than Apollo! This restaurant serves up delicious homemade Greek and Italian dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.

Last night's house special was Gnocchi filled with ricotta, topped off with a garlic alfredo sauce, chicken, bacon, and peas - LICK THE BOWL! And the service was outstanding, thanks to our server Jo who was an absolute sweetheart!!

Do not eat here.
The waitress takes forever for refill drinks and talk to you about your order, especially when we had to ask the hostess where she was because she was nowhere to be seen for 20 minutes after we got seated and ordered our drinks. The place wasn't even busy. Just us, a larger family, and 2 smaller couples. The other couples were looking around for her too and wondered where everyone went. It seemed pretty dead in there, including employees.
To make matters worse, despite the awful service the fine print specified that larger parties pay an automatic 18% tip, for each individual check.
They tried to be sneaky and charge us all 20% instead.
We promptly asked for it to be changed to 18%, and instead of doing that, the hostess who was also checking people out said she would just waive the tip instead and that we could pay our chosen tip amount, which we all agreed would be absolutely nothing.
When we got back to our hotel my husband and I were both sick and had minor food poisoning all night.
As I said before, please don't give this place your time or money.

OMG!! We brought in our catch of the day sockeye salmon, and they prepared it so it was the best salmon we have ever had in our lives!! It was amazing!! They also served it with great bread, a beautiful salad, and sides of cheese pasta and baked red potatoes. Staff was wonderful, and they were fully staffed. Water was excellent, too. We absolutely loved it. Thank you so much!!

Their dolma is vegetarian and the pita bread it came with was so soft! Good tatziki sauce as well. Calzone was fresh out the oven and tasted great. Nice atmosphere, staff was very friendly and helpful.
