second time visiting this restaurant. The first time a few months ago, the food was great. the waitress was very personable and funny.
This time I went for valentine's. yes, they were pretty busy, and the staff was a little overwhelmed & stressed.
But overall, it was great. We were able to get a table in less than half an hour without a reservation.
The mango mojito was one of the best i've ever had
The music was very entertaining & lively.
They went above and beyond with giving us a couples' picture for valentine's
I really hope they keep their standards high and continue as great.
A lot of restaurants decline after a little time, so hopefully they continue as great as they have been so far

“I hosted an event on October 12 2024 at Antigua Mexican Grill Banquet, and I can’t say enough good things about Karina, the manager. From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, organized, and attentive to every detail. She made the planning process seamless, offering helpful suggestions to ensure our event was perfect.
On the day of the event, Karina and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She was always available to address any questions or concerns, and her warm, friendly demeanor made us feel so comfortable.

This is the second year in a row I celebrate my birthday dinner at Antigua in Algonquin. They have the best drinks and the food is super good (coming from a picky eater). I love the atmosphere/music and it’s really a great vibe. This last visit our server, Kiara M., was super attentive and sweet. She made sure we always had drinks and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. I’m definitely looking forward to our next visit!

We were a regular Friday night group of six dining at Antigua Mexican Grill in Agonquin for the first time. Our ratings were unanimous. The restaurant accoustics were the best we have encountered in 4 years together. Our server, Kiara M. was personable, attentive and among the best 3 we have encountered anywhere. We had 5 different dishes, all Mexican cusine of course, and everyone gave a soild thumbs up. While we dined, we were entertained by Martin Lopez, a superb violinist, who had a broad range of music from Mexican to rock to oldies. The acoustics in the restaurant made it easy to hear, without making conversations difficult. There was a bar with just 2 TV's, which had no volume so they could not interfere with the music. Toward the end of our meal, the manager, Jose, stopped at our table to ask if our experience had been good. We were glad to share the the opinions I have just described in this review. We all told him we would be returning often in the future.

Food was good. Soda was a little weak. Refried beans great an presented well with nice main dishes. Thought the salsa mild needed a bit more flavor. Servings were large so we had great leftovers. Service was attentive and with a gray smile.
