You can't beat the atmosphere and location. A must-stop for any visitors to Alaska, it's one of the last remaining roadhouses in the interior, and the other three on Chena Hot Springs road have all burned down, and this one has been threatened by wildfire many times.

The best parts of the menu are going to be your fries and chicken tender baskets, and Ranier in a can. There's an old dog living here so go slow in the parking lot!

They accept cash and credit card, And I guarantee you if you stop here after getting back from a cabin trip I hate it angel rocks or even a soap at China Hot Springs this will be a highlight of your trip.

If you're looking for top quality customer service and luxury accommodation, look elsewhere. But if you want a rustic Alaskan experience with a great chance of seeing the Northern Lights, easy access to the facilities at Chena Hot Springs, and the world's friendliest labrador retriever, this is your best bet. I doubt Steve reads his reviews - he's a man of few words. His cabins don't lock, he's rarely around when you need him, and if you can get a hand shake out of him you're doing better than we did. The cabins are basic (pretty much a bed and a wood burning stove), but they're super cozy once they warm up, you won't be bothered by anyone, and they're a great deal - you can just sleep there and use all the shower facilities at Chena Hot Springs, which is about 5 miles away. Best of all is Steve's adorable lab retriever, who is hands down the world's best fetch player, and will snuggle with you in the bar all night. If you're looking for an authentic Alaskan experience and you're on a budget, this place comes highly recommended.

The spot couldn't be more beautiful or Alaskan. You can even see the cabins sprawled out at the foot of the mountains if you hike the Angel Creek Trail. Not for those who prefer cushy comfort. Running water at the main building only. We were advised to attain drinking water from the communal bathroom sink, which was a little dirty. Beautiful skies and good view of Aurora, accessible to Chena with short drive. I'd go back but with as little communication with management as possible. They were all very short and curt throughout our stay. Definitely not "country friendly" or even service industry friendly. When our gas stove stopped working in the middle of the night and the cabin temp dropped near 0 degrees F, the older gentleman who runs the place was upset to have his sleep disturbed and literally scolded us for "messing with the stove" despite our insistence that we had not. After a couple hours, it was decided that the stove had failed mechanically but no apology nor compensation was offered. I would not go back if there was another comparable option in the area but they win me over with prime location and decent price.

This is a great little place to grab a drink, and a burger, and catch up on old westerns! Sometimes the football game will be on, and it gets fun. The owner, Steve, is a nice engaging long time Alaskan with plenty of stories and laughs. If you want a nice place to go and just chill (with no cell reception or internet), Angel Creek Lodge is a nice spot.

Service and location were 5 stars, but there was a dead mouse in our bed so we decided to just drive back to Fairbanks for the night. Nice folk though and the cabins are heated and cozy.

Basic dry cabins that are about 1/5 the price that you will pay at the nearby Chena Hot Springs resort. Seriously. It's rustic but Steve has the most amazing retrieving (Seeka) and basically for around $75 you get a dry cabin with a stove for wood (compared to a luxury room in Chena for $250). Highly recommend.

It is s simply place to eat not much on the menu butt it is a good place to eat after going to Chena Hot Springs. I would recommend they have a friendly Golden Retriever so very cute that sits in the chair. Prices are not to bad cheaper that Chena Hot Spring and your hunger.
