This charming home is perfect for the free spirited traveler who enjoys rustic home comforts and the best things in life: overgrown wild flowers, plump raspberry bushes, fluffy affectionate yard kitties and the warmest host full of tips and insider intel for a great stay in Anchorage. This property will have you feel like you're in the Country, despite its close proximity to downtown amenities. The hostess went out of her way to make us feel at home and we had a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for the more adventurous travelers.

If you're looking for a comfortable and relaxed place to stay in a great part of Anchorage, stay here! The host, Marty, is very friendly and helpful and she gave us several suggestions for things to do around town. This b&b is essentially a guest house/inn, since there is no formal breakfast served. This was great for us, since we had day trips planned and wanted to leave early some days, or sleep in on others.
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe to walk around in. Less than a 10 minute walk to the coastal bike path, 10 minute walk to a grocery store with a great cafe/bakery, and a 20 minute walk to downtown.
We stayed in the Executive suite, which is a spacious private apartment with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. We enjoyed the atmosphere of truly being in someone's home, rather than in a room of a huge hotel.
Next time I'm in Anchorage, I'll definitely stay here!

We were in the judges suite. It was warm and cozy. Marty was very friendly the entire time. It was cozy in the basement and the house had a few quirks, but we enjoyed our time there immensely.||||Marty gave us great suggestions on what to do around town such as the new bakery in town. We had a great food experience in Anchorage.||||I can't say enough about how good the location is. We were able to easily access the coastal trail, and the walk downtown is a breeze.

Wonderful homestyle with friendly host family - every year I try for a birthday return so I can celebrate it here - don't make it every year, but as often as I can. I typically come before September. B&B is walking distance to downtown, a nice deli grocery for morning coffee with locals, and the trail along the ocean where I have seen eagles and moose. Perfect retreat from the hot Eastcoast

Terrific small bed and breakfast convenient to grocery, school, Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Host is very kind and helpful and recommended excellent dining and sightseeing. Room with kitchen and attached laundry is bargain. Will come back

Loved my pad for a perfect fortnight visit complete with small kitchen, attached laundry and well located so I could walk downtown or to the grocery or bakery. Hostess was very nice and helpful. Room had lots of art, fireplace, and garden level location.

All cinveniences there for great travel - quiet room with lots of character and Alaskan art, dvd player a plus as I travel with several. Host helped locate Coastal Trail for running, grocery nearby, and best local restaurants so my business visit was easily organized.

Lovely hostess showed me where swans were on lagoon, lovely oceanview restaurant, grocery - took all the stress out of finding my way for my few days off from work during my visit. Large home with great privacy and amentities of kitchen and laundry. Would definitely return for longer stay.
