I’m trying to go gray and went to two different highly recommended salons . Between the two salons my hair was a bleached/ fried mess . I was recommended to a third salon which is ambiance spa . Let me tell anyone who will listen. Mackenzie was / is my stylist , she is amazing. When she had questions about my difficult hair she was not afraid to ask the other stylist and owner for suggestions. I’m a fan and I’m now feeling like I’m happy to be in family pictures again . This salon and staff are the best .

I made an appointment with a hairstylist at this Salon for 12 PM on Friday, and leading up to it, she was very communicative, asking for photos of my hair and inspiration for the look I wanted. I appreciated that she let me know early on that the color I wanted (cherry red) might not be achievable because of how dark my hair is. I told her I was okay with that, so I came into the salon ready to trust her judgment.

When I arrived, she began by brushing my hair and testing a small strand of hair with color remover. After 20 minutes, there was no result, so she tried bleach, on another strand of hair which lightened it. She did bleach that strand of hair twice to make sure there wasn’t any spotting on it. After testing the bleach, she asked if I still wanted to continue or reschedule. I said I wanted to go ahead and do my hair that day, she then immediately started to say, “well… we’ll see” "this is going to be a process." “It’s going to be a process” she ultimately decided to dye the small bleached strand of hair back to black and told me I would need to come back another day so she can do my hair and I can also meet the salon’s owner.

The entire process lasted about 45 minutes, during which she made me feel like she was going to do my hair. (We even changed it from all over color to highlights). To top it off, I was charged $45 for the small amount of product she used—despite not even starting the actual process! I had taken time off from work and arranged childcare for this appointment, only to leave without getting my hair done at all.

Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing. It felt like a huge waste of both my time and money.

Marie with Ambiance Salon in Lincoln is the best, she takes her time and really listens to what you want. She corrected my nieces hair color from store bought hair dye and it turned out beautiful. She is great to work with. And her prices are fantastic.

I have been going to Makenna to bleach and tone my hair for a while now and she does an amazing job every single time. She is extremely detail oriented, always remembers how to work with my difficult hair, and takes the extra time necessary to make sure the job gets done well. I always leave the salon happy and couldn't recommended her enough!

I've been coming in to see Kenzie for a while now. She gave me some highlights a while ago, and I've been going in to get them touched up every few months. Kenzie is very good with highlights and long, layered haircuts. The salon is always clean, and the decorations are super cute! I always leave the salon feeling beautiful!

I asked to get my hair cut in layers right above my breast. She cut my hair to my shoulders and then blamed it on me because my hair bounced up and I should have told her to cut my hair lower so it would be the length that I wanted. They can cut hair okay but if you have curly or wavy hair they do not know how to cut it.

My daughter is turning 13 and we went to see Marie for hair, highlights, the works. Thank you for making her feel and look special. You just don't cut her hair, I can tell how much you put in to the little details. The color looks so natural. She looks fabulous and it's a confidence booster for her.
