I stayed here with my family for a spring break with kids. This place is amazing! Concierge and valet parking employees were very helpful, every time I was picking up my car it was cleaned up from the snow and warmed up. Check in process was very fast and easy. I had a room with the beautiful view, and it was very clean and comfortable. Especially I like that it always was warm enough in the room - in other ski resorts in US was always freezing. Ski valet service was really good to have - was so easy to get your gear every time! SPA area was very good, I like that it was many different saunas and you can stay in one of them only with your family, also was very clean and comfortable. Right by the hotel some hiking trails, well maintained and beautiful. I wanted to say special thank you for all hotel employees who was very polite and friendly and it was pleasure to stay there. Will highly recommend this resort to my friends and family!

Newly remodeled room. Great pool and hot tub. We were disappointed that we couldn’t control the heat in the room. We had to open windows to cool the room. We called the front desk to ask about it. They said they controlled it from there and to wait 30-60 minutes for the room to cool. It never did cool down. For the cost, I would expect to be in a room with a comfortable temperature.

We had a fantastic time at Alyeska Resort overall. The ski-in, ski-out access was perfect for making the most of the slopes, and it was so convenient to hit the mountain right from the resort. I also loved the variety of activities available, from skiing to exploring the area, and the pool was a great way to unwind after a day on the mountain. ||||The room, while cozy, was on the smaller side. I did wish there were a few more amenities, such as a microwave and a refrigerator, to make it feel more comfortable for longer stays. ||||While the resort offers great facilities, I think the restaurant food could use some improvement. It was decent, but there were moments when the quality didn’t quite match the resort’s overall standard.||||That said, the beautiful setting, wonderful staff, Greg at bell desk went about and beyond ; and the amazing ski access made it an enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for those looking for a great spring break getaway!

The rooms are a little out dated. We had a room that was above the front entrance. Sadly, this is the same side where package trucks come in as well. All these trucks have a long path they have to back up into to unload. So you just hear their backup beep beep beep for a few minutes multiple times a day. I will either wake you up or prevent you from falling asleep.

All the shops within the resort default you to a 30% tip too.

The view is great (the picture is the view out my window on the 4th floor). We went during the week and left on a Saturday. The resort was a dead town until Friday, then it was packed! Guessing a lot of locals come up for slopes on a weekend getaway. So if you don't want to deal with people, do a vacation from Monday to Thursday. Hotel staff all seemed really nice for everyone we interacted with.

Magical!! If you stay here, please take the tram to the top. 360-degree views of God's Glory! We stayed in a signature room, that was spacious, clean and they provided daily water. The staff was exceptional and helped us navigate the surrounding area and resort grounds. The Spa was a treasure, and the Nordiac massage was top-notch.

We had a lovely week-long stay at Alyeska Resort, and while there are some areas that could be improved, overall it was a great base for heli skiing and relaxing.

Pros
• Signature Rooms are worth the upgrade – clean, modern, and a big step up from the standard ones. The lighting setup is ambient and flexible, the bed is plush (if slightly too soft for my taste), and the linen is great quality.
• Resort-wide Wi-Fi is excellent – fast, stable, and available everywhere.
• Shuttle service around Girdwood is a huge plus – we used it daily to reach restaurants and the ski area without hassle.
• Pool & Wellness Area – the indoor pool, sauna, and whirlpool are great after a long ski day. The hot tub was almost too hot, but it’s well maintained.
• Scenic tram access and proximity to the Nordic Spa (though we didn’t try it ourselves – friends had a great experience).

Cons
• The resort feels a bit dated overall, despite efforts to maintain it. The Signature Rooms are freshened up, but some elements remind you this is not a new build.
• Coffee setup is basic – the room includes a Keurig machine (not Nespresso), with only sachets of creamer/sugar and a plastic stir stick. No spoons or fresh milk.
• Climate control was frustrating – even when turned down, the room was too warm. In winter, we had to crack the window open at times to cool it down.
• Old-style bathroom fixtures – the shower has a fixed wall-mounted head with no hose or rain shower, which felt outdated and inconvenient. This was a key drawback for me.
• No breakfast included – not even a basic option. It adds up over several days. As such overall pricing is challenging if counting no breakfast.

Neutral / Notes
• The resort isn’t part of a major hotel group, so no rewards points or loyalty perks.
• Ownership changed in 2018 and is now under Pomeroy Lodging (a Canadian hospitality group) – they’ve made progress in upgrading certain areas, but it still feels like a work in progress.

Final Thoughts:
If you’re planning a ski trip to Girdwood, Alyeska Resort is still the most complete offering in town. Get the Signature Room, use the shuttle to explore local dining. With a few improvements (especially to the bathrooms), it could easily become a 5-star experience.

Everything about the hotel was good, rooms were clean and luxurious, food was yummy and there was many activities to participate in.
But the service was kinda iffy. Getting in the hotel and booking a room was easy it was just that at the end of our stay, in the final check we were over charged for being two separate groups at a restaurant. Which is reasonable, we just weren’t notified.
Everything else is nice it’s just that the hotel is in hard place to drive.

The luxurious atmosphere was evident in every corner. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure I felt at home. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had every comfort I could ask for, including a stunning view. I also had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant, where the food was exceptional. The spa experience was the highlight of my stay .I’ve never felt so relaxed and pampered. Everything about this hotel was flawless, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a first-class experience!
