RVing through the area and decided to stop here for lunch. Pulling our small RV, parking is down the hill - we actually parked at one of the RV sites. Nice climb up the hill to a very pleasant cafe where we met two wonderful ladies; one being Chrissy. Menu was basic - they have set lunch/dinner hours with prices but they also had items to pick from. Soup for my wife and the eggs/sausage for me were all great. We also got two small berry pies to go and had those later in the night at our next stop and they were good. Price was a little steep but had to remember where we were .

We had a great two day stay at Alpine Creek Lodge! Thank you to Claude, Jennifer, Chrissy, Bob, and Annie for taking such good care of us while we were there. My wife and I explored, hiked and truly enjoyed the Grizzly Bar! Just remember that if you ring the bell in the bar you buy everyone a round (learned that the hard way, then rang it a few more times)! The three dogs Rosy, Ruby and Bandit were our best little friends too. You're visiting a lodge that is a long way from the big city so if you're expecting the Ritz, this probably isn't the place for you. But, if you love scenery, meeting new people, and staying in a laid-back friendly environment you'll love it. Rooms are small but comfortable, bathrooms and showers are shared but there are 4 or 5 available and they are kept very clean. Breakfast and dinner are included and the food was very good! Claude even taught us how to pan for gold! We look forward to going back again soon!

Beautiful alpine setting! Wonderful stop on Denali highway. Hosts, rooms and property were all wonderful. We did a short 1 mile hike after dinner and it was the most beautiful little private lake that we ended up swimming in!

My husband and I stayed here with our nephew, wife, and two kiddos on our route from Cantwell to the Kennicott/McCarthy area. It was absolutely wonderful. This is our first trip to Alaska and we’ve had multiple highlights but this is definitely one of them! You’re treated like family from the time you walk in the door! Rooms and lodge were clean, inviting and exactly as advertised. Food was delicious as well! We will definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to return to Alaska! Thank you for everything and we highly recommend to any traveling through!!

Roughly 70 miles from Cantwell , this is the only operational Lodge on the Denali Highway. With limited resources, the lodge is very well maintained and also boasts a well stocked bar. The views are breathtaking, well connected wi-fi and feels like family. The Owners are very knowledgeable and have tons of stories to share. The rooms were comfortable and with a view.

This was off the grid, and right up our alley. View was an immaculate you could see for miles so kind and the food very good.|Since we were unable to enter Denali national Park because of the wildfires, the drive out to Alpine Creek Lodge was much the same with dramatic views along the way.|Our group from North Carolina will never forget you? Where to begin... everything you could possibly want away from the crowded shorelines. Very remote, diversified, entertaining, epic views in every direction, such a variety of activities to partake in. Staff is incredible all the way around, plenty of room, food is amazing, the Grizzly bar is perfect for catching up on the days adventures, poker room, incredible deck overlooking the Susitna River basin, variety of rooms to stay in at the lodge, plenty of space for numerous parties in your group. We've been multiple times, completely different experience each and every time, late spring, early fall, middle of winter, there is always something going on. If not, they will find something for you to do. Snowmobiling is absolutely incredible, no limits! Hiking on close and remote trails to remote lakes and mountain ranges, fishing lakes and rivers for a variety of species of fish, panning for gold onsite, dog mushing when available, jeep/atv/SxS tours, wildlife viewing- this list is long, depending on the season of course. AND of course if your lucky enough to spend hours on one of the many decks to be mesmerized by aurora borealis (aka northern lights) just WOW! Couldnt think of a better group of people and place to spend your time. Havent had a chance to actually right a review after all these years, but totally worth it, every single time. Cant go wrong! Cheers!

My son and I stayed here a week while hunting spring bear. All I can say is this place is amazing. The Grizzly Bar deck boasts one of the most amazing views of any lodge in Alaska and is a great way to unwind after a long day. The staff are super friendly and helpful with whatever adventure you’re on. Great food, comfortable rooms and beds, and hot coffee and showers. All in the middle of virgin, untouched Alaskan wilderness. I highly recommend the 1-mile hike to the alpine lake that begins just behind the lodge. It is spectacular and provides views of the surrounding area you can’t get from the highway or the lodge. If you’re driving the Denali Highway, Alpine Creek Lodge should be part of your itinerary, whether you stay overnight or just stop in for a meal or a drink, it will enrich your experience.
