This motel fronts a busy road but the traffic noise is not necessarily overwhelming. There are rooms on the back LOWER side but they seem to be for longer term rentals at least during the off-peak season. First the positives:|| 1. Wasilla does not have a downtown or at least I haven't found it. It's a collection of highways so just about any hotel or motel is going to be off a major road. Remember a motel means you drive up to your door.|2. Although only walkable to a few restaurants, it is driveable to others. |3. Hot water is super hot but shower pressure so so. |4. Room is super clean and KUDOS for having two large trash cans, a mini fridge (with a freezer), microwave, and coffee pot. |5. There is a smart TV, HOWEVER, since it runs off WIFI it is weak and pitched above your head. Wish it were lower and had better WIFI. |6. Soft towels.|7. Check-in remotely.|8. Good value. |9. Responsive by phone or text. ||The negatives:|1. Only two hangers. Please come on!|2. No little towel rack at the sink which is outside the bathroom. BTW the whole road noise thing could be cut down by a door between the sink and bedroom albeit $$$ to construct. |3. The pioneer beds with rails for a headboard make leaning against it uncomfortable.|4. Check-in remotely so can't necessarily see a room before being obligated to it.|5. Pillow so so.|6. No cookies at check-in as quoted in some other review.

This is a MOTEL so have reasonable expectations. Might be a tad noisy for some but highway noise like white noise to me. Super clean. Smart TV but WIFI weak. Super hot water. Lots of towels. Pillows smelled a bit of cigarette smoke? ! Walking distance to average restaurants. Price good. Self check in if staff left for the day.

A gem and we cherish this little motel.|We are local but due to home repairs we have needed to stay here a few times recently and we love it. It's clean, nice appliances, Roku tvs, great WiFi, and affordable. It's nothing fancy but honestly when travelers come to Alaska they don't come to be in a motel room 24/7. Therefore why pay way more money at other places to simply lay your head in a pillow for a few hours. I appreciate the improvement's the owner has made and the welcoming room. The room had a demos full size fridge, microwave, great lighting, 5 cup coffee maker, and amazing hot water. Clean and affordable is the best description I can give.

Awful! The room was filthy! Stains on beds and mattress wet , dog pet hair and debris all over floors , freezer had gross residue spilled all inside. We told the young lady in the office she didn't offer any form of partial refunds or anything at all. Simply stated she would close off that room for further cleaning before new guests arrive. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone!

Alaskan View is a very well maintained older small Motel. The staff is efficient, polite and helpful. Friendly! and the cookies are delicious. Fresh and homemade by the front desk manager..

Treated my 15 year
(ESA Dog) WELL behaved. . With documentation, paperwork from my provider & doctor...... like absolute garbage... After I'd already done my research.. with staying with a friend overnight...... It was that shift change, and me advocating for myself, apparently doesn't go well .. between the employee and the owner, n lil black frenchie bulldog/red truck... ($$$) thank goodness for the officer.
Who saw that I was not belligerent and gave me as much time as I needed to gather my belongings ....

The room was clean and lovely. The furniture is beautifully made.

It is located right near the highway. The sounds of traffic were constant.
