Ok, it's a touristy place as it is right on the pier, but it was surprisingly not too busy when we went in around 3.30 pm. We quickly got seated at a table next to the window and the server was very quick to get our drink order. Once our drinks arrived he took our food order which was 2 King Crab legs and 1 King Crab claw. We knew the order was $218 plus a side order of fries and a beer, which came out to $230. Yes, pricey but hey when do you get to eat fresh King Crab?
The food came out quickly and was delicious, the Crab was succulent and juicy and everything was fine.
Then the bill came, and now I'm not one to skimp on tipping, especially if the food and service are good. But to have a "Kitchen Tip" and an "Automatic Service Fee Gratuity" of almost 20% already added, for an automatic tip total of $50 I was shocked. I wonder how many people don't see that and tip on top.......needless to say my additional tip was "0". I might have tipped more if I didn't feel like I was conned.
Good food, good location, good service. Bad tipping policy.

This was an excellent experience for us! The waiters/waitresses were very helpful. We are the crab wantons. It came with a chili sauce to dip them into. 5/5 loved them. Then we got the Colossal king crab1 lb(unfortunately the picture I took didn't save 😞). It was so delicious! Met our anticipation.

Great first experience with crab at Alaska King Crab Co.! I had the Crab Combination with a king crab leg, Dungeness crab cake, and a cup of clam chowder - a bit pricey but definitely worth it. As someone who loves shrimp and lobster, I can't believe what I'd been missing. Trying crab for the first time in Alaska while on a cruise was unforgettable! The servers were friendly, and the place was clean, which added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend if you're in Alaska and want a taste of fresh, delicious crab!

It’s a nice place to grab a bite before getting back on the ship. I would recommend getting a big order of King Crab and share/sample it with the table. It may not be enough to fill you up, but you can fill up back on the ship for free anyway.

It has great views of the docks and offers time limited free wifi. Staff onsite provided speedy service and overall a good experience before returning to the ship.

I went on an Alaskan cruise and knew that I had to have a king crab leg. Alaska King Crab Company did not disappoint! It came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. Totally worth the price! Oh, and the fries were pretty great, too! 🦀

I don't recommend this restraunt. Do not order the crabs, it was dried and very salty
The food was not coming on the table at the same time so one person started food after the others have done meal. We order same 2 kinds of dish for 4 of us, but server missed one order. The plate with lettuce salad but it was not fresh and chopped dried. We could not touch the veggies on the side. It was horrible meal at the beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska.
Do not go there until they fix this problem!!

Don't go here if you ever want to eat crab again! Why, because your expectations for crab will be set at a bar so high, it will be difficult to attain the same greatness. We stopped in to try the illustrious Alaskan King Crab, and I tell you what! It was flavorful, thick, and satisfying. Our group consisted of 11 with ages ranging from 9-76. The crab was so good and fulfilling. They had a special for 2lbs for 150. Three people ate with that one special instead of one leg for $99 like at some other places. Miguel was the host but helped us pick out some great food and drinks. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered a King Crab Combo, that was supposed to be coming with coleslaw, crab cake and crab bisque. Either I didn't get my coleslaw or the one in the picture is so, all in one I was greatly disappointed. They didn't have crab bisque and substituted it with clam chowder which was really good, but price wise lower... The crab cake was overcooked and with no taste of crab at all. And my greatest disappointment is the crab itself. The shell was so soft that I couldn't crack it, like rubber, the meat was very salty. I paid my bill however, never been so reluctant to do so without complaining. The two stars I have are for the service staff, they are just outstanding, the kitchen would barely get 1 star for clam chowder.
