I literally can’t believe I paid $40 to have my cuticles messed up. ): I used to come here a loooot and was in the area so I stopped in. Nominal wait, then I get seated. The person doing my nails clipped into my cuticle pretty roughly, and I was still bleeding after several minutes. I also have blood cured into the nail polish so that’s fun 😭 totally sanitary and cool, just so you know if you get a gel manicure you’re totally maybe in contact with that.

i called last night to make an appointment. They asked me what time i'd like to come in and i said 10am. They said, "how about 10:30am"? i said perfect. I got there this morning, 4 employees and 4 clients - things were going well (my first time there). 5 walk-ins came in all wanting pedicures and the employees said that they could be helped within 15 minutes. All wanted to wait. 3 or 4 More came in wanting pedicures and then the time was pushed to 30 minutes. This is all fine. I feel badly for them not wanting to turn away business - I get it! . I got my pedicure, then went to table for my nails. i had to tel Tom 4 times that i want my nails short. Frustrating. Then i noticed dead skin on my heels. I asked Tom if they could take off the dead skin on my heels (and offered to pay again) and he had the nerve to say "come back at 2pm or 3pm whatever is good for me". In essence, they were taking walk-ins rather than existing customers. This is bad bad business. Toes beautiful, heels bad.

Unfortunately, I can't give my first experience at this spa more than 2 stars. I selected a color with quite a bit of shimmer and when it turned out to be extremely sheer I asked if it would be better to do a solid color underneath. I was told that a second coat would fix the problem. I asked again when the second coat was still too sheer, and was told we could do a third coat. After a FOURTH coat I realized I just wasn't going to be happy with the results. It looked like I'd done my nails myself, and at least half of the gel polish chipped off in the first 4 days. Super disappointing. But everyone was very friendly.

I was excited to try a new place out for Mani and pedi. Unfortunately I got cut while they were removing my old dip powder off. Because I was cut the nail polish remover stung everytime it touched the cut and the man working on me continued to put the remover on it and I had to say over and over you cut me and it stings now. They would not give me a discount for the service, instead they gave a $20 gift certificate for the next service. Why would I go back if I had been hurt and had to pay full price for a painful experience.

Such a friendly place! I walked in was automatically greeted and felt so welcomed. Ken does the best acrylic nails I’ve never had any other nail technician do them better. Not to mention it is super clean not dusty like most salons I’ve been to and the tools look very clean as well.

The owner of the place is not very welcoming. I usualy always ask for prices before I do my nails but I was to eager to get my nails done. All I asked for my nails was coffin shape acrylic and two nail polish colors and my total was $50! Which is not worth at all for $50. I can see if I got gel and designs with some stones then yes it could come out to around $50 or $60 I felt I was ripped off. First and last time I go there. Aside from that I really did like the lady who did my nails she's friendly!

went here with my mother and grandma for mothers day earlier this year and they were very rude, talking smack and i did not understand some of them very well when they did speak english so when she asked me a question i kept saying "huh?" due to hearing issues and then someone else had to tell me what she was saying. i had ingrown toenail procedure done last year so parts of the sides of my toenails towards my skin were missing and they filed and trimmed those edges instead of leaving them alone like being asked to. there was bleeding from my skin and toes because of what they did + they rubbed WAY too hard on my skin and nails giving me a few cuts. now i have an infection in both my big toes and its quite painful and now my toenails have to be removed. please do NOT go to this place!!! they are not friendly and they dont understand directions!!! also very gross, had bugs flying in constantly and did nothing to swat them away or keep them out. disgusting.

I'm new to Concord and have spent the last 6 months trying to find a quality nail salon. I had worked with the same nail tech where I used to live for 9 years and I'm super picky. I don't want gel on my cuticles, I want my skin cleaned up and clean paint lines. I had avoided AK Nails because of the reviews but an alternate salon wasn't open today and I took a chance on AK Nails. I couldn't be happier with both gel mani and traditional pedi. The attention to detail, the thoroughness - I'm thrilled with the superb work! I'll be scheduling with Karen from now on but I really don't think you can go wrong with a walk-in.
