I visited “”Across The Bay” whilst on a tour group traveling through Alaska. The camp was a short enjoyable boat ride leaving from Homer. The services that Mary Jane and Tony provided were outstanding. Big marquee style tents with comfortable beds and a toilet not far away. The home cooked meals were delicious and the salmon was the freshest we had in Alaska. The kayaking was my favourite part about our stay. All of the gear was provided you only had to turn up. The scenery was incredible, the water was like a mirror and the wildlife experience was just unforgettable. During our stay we saw curious sea otters which came right up close to us we didn’t even need to zoom with the cameras. One morning we had a very close encounter with a hump back whale - the whale was about 20 metres away from us swimming along the surface and checking us out. It was a moment I will never forget. I can absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It caters to all needs and all 12 of us on tour left with amazing memories. It was a truely Alaskan experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Before my trip to Alaska I joked that I was looking for summer camp for adults. The visit to Across the Bay Tent and Breakfast provided some of that feeling again. Our group stayed in the platform tents with comfy beds, which along with the giant ferns growing around reminded me of my Girl Scout camp days. This was the point in our trip where we had an opportunity to relax and I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to do so. The location is beautiful, the home cooked meals were amazing, the kayak trip around the bay was perfect, and the views as we relaxed were peaceful. So grateful I had the opportunity to experience this perfect Alaskan spot.

Very friendly staff and simple but clean accomodations (tents and cabins) on a very special remote location. ||Good breakfast and for diner we had the best fresh salmon we've ever had.||One of the owners organised an excursion to a remote beach at low tide. We didn't expect to see so many different plants and wildlife. ||Clean drop toilets and good showers

Wonderful location, remote, yet very homely. A great few days spent relaxing, kayaking, watchign sea otters hold hands (so cute, still makes me jump with joy just at the thought of it), listening to eagles and going swimming (I enjoyed all 45 seconds of it).||||The food was excellent, very warming and kind hosts - it felt like I was visiting family. It is not a luxurious accomodation by all means, but makes a difference from just normal tents, plus the service and food are absolute delight. ||||Highle remommended!

An amazing treasure the service, food, kayaking all exceeded expectations. It is Alaska so be prepared for the elements and as for sleeping they provide sleeping bags and blankets so no problems for us so just know you'll be sleeping rustic. They allow use of their main cabin which has a spectacular view great for coffee, reading a book and just slowing down to enjoy Gods spectacular creation.

This is a beautiful, relaxing, unique environment and Mary-Jane and Tony are remarkable hosts. ||I had a wonderful stay, with incredible walks, a wonderful kayaking experience and food - delicious food. ||||I recommend to any avid traveler wanting to experience the real Alaska.

Mary Jane and Tony made my 4 days on the island an unforgetable adventure. A mix of pure nature and relaxed moments combined with funny kayaking. Sea Beavers are close to the camp by the way;)||||Don‘t miss that Location on your Trip!

Nice B&B on a very special location. We stayed here for a couple of days. Very friendly staff and simple but clean accomodations (tents and cabins) good breakfast and the best fresh salmon we've ever had for diner. We had a interesting excursion to the beach at low tide with a good guide. Have speen a lot of wildlife.
