What a gem in central Cody! I've stayed in Cody a few times in cabins just a little further along the street but I'm so glad I found this place for a recent one night stay. Yes, it's a wee bit dated but it was clean, spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable giving me a great night's sleep. The ensuite was large with a great shower. I was travelling solo but there was plenty of room for 2. Being able to park just outside the room was also a bonus but you are so close to the centre of Cody that you can wander along to the shops no problem In the morning I'd recommend getting up and walking just a wee bit along the street for a filling breakfast at Granny's! I would definitely book a room here for my next visit to Cody!

We stayed at this motel for the first time, while visiting Yellowstone national park. It is located very near to downtown Cody, WY. The motel has this retro charm. Very clean rooms. I managed to forget 2 of my coats that were hanging at the closet. I was contacted by the manager within 2 hours, saying that they can ship those coats to my home address. When we came home about a week later, the package was waiting for me! I think it's an excellent service and client care! Highly recommend this motel!

A great older style motel, comfortable rooms. Counter to one comment I read the rooms were a good sized( if with a bit too much furniture in ours) and it had great shower pressure!
Good recommendations from the manager too, the drive into Yellowstone via the Beartooth Road was our highlight of the whole Yellowstone area experience.

September 5th thru the 8th 2024 was a busy weekend in Cody Wyoming. Most motels were No Vacancy or taking advantage of those looking for lodging by charging $300 to $500 A NIGHT! I was actually refferd to A Western Rose Motel 🌹 by a very kind lady from another Motel I've used in the past. ||Now to the point, what a nice and affordable Motel. I needed a room for 3 adult guest and the manager, Brenda O'Shea, was so very nice to me. She told me, when I called, she had her final room with "3 queen beds" (I was a little shocked at the size of the room) available. When we pulled in she actually met me outside and asked if we'd like to see the room (another first that surprised us). For the 1/2 price value we received (compared to competitors) for such a clean, nice room that even had a private bedroom 😮 I was frankly a little shocked. The A/C could get you as cool as you want for these Wyoming temperatures and here's a odd shout-out, the shower 🚿 felt fantastic with the water pressure, very relaxing 😀||Brenda has a big personality and invited us to hang out at the picnic tables in the evening where a lot of guests relax. I'm from Montana and visit Cody on at least a yearly basis. A Western Rose fit perfectly into our X-country adventure. The proximity to Yellowstone and Price-point made it a comfortable decision to stay two nights and visit everything we had on our wishlist. The rooms are clean and of good size. The owners have done a fantastic job of preserving this true motor lodge with the quality and travelers experience of when it first opened! The town of Cody is a very welcoming place and we were able to get supplies and advice about the park. They even have a rodeo every night during the summer months!

Love staying here during my annual trip to Yellowstone! I stayed for four nights and it was perfect. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. Brenda always makes sure you have everything you need and is so helpful! This is my 5th year in a row I’ve stayed here.

I chose this hotel because it was close to everything in Cody and reviews said it was clean. It was definitely close to stuff, but I think staff had forgotten to finish cleaning my room because there were several dead bugs and a used q-tip on the floor. The air conditioner had a really organic/musty smell coming from it, so maybe not the best if you’re sensitive to mold. Maybe it was just my room but for about $200 (booked with them directly) I wish the room had been in better condition 🙁

Very convenient location and very friendly , accommodating and flexible owner/ manager. This small motel is very comfortable, simple , clean and provides an economical , safe and complete place to stay
No frills … but , the manager, Brenda O’Shea more than makes up for anything you might need .
