This place has no business renting out rooms yet. It is still being renovated. There was no way to securely lock the door (which was obviously needing/going to be replaced) which was peeling paint. The sign in the lobby asked for "patience" when dealing with all the potential critters (bugs and rodents) that we might find. I suppose that explains why the room smelled strongly of pesticides (NOT cleaning chemicals). The smell was so bad that we had to leave the door open for quite a while even though it was very cold outside. The toilet seat was broken. The place was an active construction zone and very ugly to look at. Additionally, we were told that it was in Coalinga but it's actually about 10 miles from the town proper, which caused us to go 20 miles out of our way. They never told us it would say Travelodge on the sign and we drove around in circles for a bit before we realized that it was actually the Baymont Wyndham we had reserved. It didn't even look like it was open for business and it definitely shouldn't be. There were feral cats howling for most of the night. We had staying at the Baymont in Tehachapi 2 nights prior and that was fine. This one was far from fine. If it wasn't so late, we would have left and found somewhere else to stay. My request for a refund fell on deaf ears. Except to say that even the person working the front desk agreed that they shouldn't be open for business! We had every right to request a refund and it would have gone a long way since I told them outr stay in Tahacapi was fine - this place was not even on the same planet. We will never stay at a Wyndham owned hotel/motel chain ever again as a result. I realize that's a lot of places to stay away from . Travelodge, LaQuinta, Super 8, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Ramada, Microtel, Wingate, Ameriinn, Hawthorn Extended Stay, Vacasa, and a bunch of Vegas places. They're so big that they couldn't afford to rightfully (along with apology) refund us one night stay. Shame on Wyndham!

Recently acquired by Wyndham, the sign still says Travel Lodge. I had one of the recently redecorated room and thought it was very nice. I especially appreciated the number of USB ports. Heater and television worked fine. Nice counter space in the toilet area. I arrived at 8pm and left at 9am the next morning so really did not get to see much of the outside.

I was doubting staying here because of the reviews but I am so happy with my stay!! The room was renovated and only $125 for double queens!! I called the hotels nearby and they were $170 on average. I got a deal and a brand new room!! They are really nice with fridge , stove, microwave all new appliances. I recommend staying here

Cheap room beds were very comfortable. older interior not dirty just older. The area smells not the hotels fault just the area. The smell wasn't in the room just outside. Perfect for what we needed which was somewhere to stay on the drive. Pool wasn't used much so there were leaves but cleaned it with net the kids were happy.

We've stayed here twice this year and both times were very happy. The rooms are nice, walls are very thin but for one night I don't care. Fridge, microwave and coffee pot are all provided in room as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion on the bathroom. The lady that I've had help me both times is so sweet and the breakfast has lots of options. Will definitely stay here again if we ever drive through.

The bed was very comfortable room had all the amenities you could ask for, WIFI, a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, cable TV and safe. The shower was nice but did have some black mold in the bottom. That's really my only complaint, they even let us pay cash and didn't even need a card on file! They also accommodated parking for out cargo trailer.

Everything was great, ac was even going already so the room was comfortable when I got there. Only thing that made me give it a 4 instead of 5 is there was a very strong perfumey smell. Not a bad smell. Just very strong. They had breakfast stuff and coffee... Everything was clean.
