We visited family over Christmas and had a wonderful stay. Located between Sulligent and Vernon. Only a few minutes from the Mississippi state line about a 20 minute drive to Columbus MS where there is shopping, movie theater etc. ||There are plenty of things to do at the farm though. The location is great for weddings, birthdays, gatherings or just a quiet place to stay. Dot has cattle, sheep, ducks, horses and a miniature donkey. The kids love to see the farm animals. ||During hunting season, you can hunt on her 170 acre property.There are also three stocked ponds where you can fish, great for summer fun. As well as a pumpkin patch in the fall....another great activity for the kids. ||Recommended for anyone! Call Dot and book your country retreat today!

Beautiful country estate, with sheep, cattle and geese and a big white, friendly dog, Henry. a large deck in the back where you can often see deer and relax with your favorite drink and a cigar, a gracious hostess and a southern belle, Ms Dot fixes a home made breakfast, the bedrooms are upstairs with a TV room, also a TV in the great room but none in the rooms. Rooms are nice and comfortable and mostly queen size from what I saw. I stay here often when I come to this area of Alabama near Vernon, the address says Sulligent but is really just outside of Vernon
