First time coming! Very pleasant, servers was very respectful and kind, food was seasoned wonderfully, I had the chicken enchiladas one red and one green sauce with rice and beans, hubby had the two carne asada tacos plate, warm chips and salsa was amazing as well…. I will recommend, and will be coming back soon.

Stopped here for lunch. Seated quick. The staff works well together. The service has there is very attentive. The food well worth it. A good atmosphere in a medium restaurant setting. 👍🏼👍🏼

I was so excited to come to Los Portales after a year, and unfortunately, it was a far cry from the enjoyable eating experiences I've had in the past. We opted for the fajitas for two, which turned out to be a major letdown. The portion of chicken and carne asada was minimal, the plate was filled with grilled bell peppers and onions, hardly any protein. The beans were plain with no flavor. I can’t believe they skimp on the protein when you’re paying $33.95 for a plate. That’s just not right. 😣

The service was slow, and the seating situation only added to our frustration. We were crammed into a tiny table, with no one attending to clear our table. As a result, there was little space for all our plates, forcing us to stack empty ones on the table behind us. It was not a good situation. My husband and I were really hungry so we made the best of it. After this bad experience, we will not be coming back to Los Portales. The food and service are not what it use to be. 😞

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The food wasn't bad, but also was missing or lacking just something to make it great. The shrimp cocktail had lots of flavor and was definitely the highlight of the meal. The Chile Colorado was not the best I've tasted. There were definitely some issues with the steak, several bites were tough to chew and gristle-ish. The sauce was thick and starchy. I did enjoy the homemade tortillas.

I'm not going to complain about the service, it is what it is these days. However I will say that if you want to try it, maybe takeout? It just was off (for me). They did have a bar with TVs and the dining room booths were private which was nice for a quiet dinner setting.

Haven’t been here in years but Just left the restaurant (1/17) with my family.
The atmosphere was very calm, food was bland and not very good. Rice seemed old, Chile relleno had allot of cheese but tasteless, service was terrible. Not one person smiled, greeted or came to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything.
This restaurant has gone down hill. Which is a shame because my family has been coming for years. The Montclair location in my opinion is better than the chino location.
More hospitality and better tasting food.

The best Mexican food I've tasted in Ontario. I've been going there for years. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The staff is nice. There's even live music sometimes. There is a full bar, music, tv's with sports,and restrooms. They serve chip and sauce when you arrive. Try the wine margarita, it's so flavourful.

This family owned business is one of my favorites in the area. They are so friendly and kind. I usually sit at the bar and the margaritas are the best from fresh squeezed limes. Great selection of tequilas also! The lunch specials are a great value. They have live music some nights, which always makes for a fun time!

This is one of our absolute favorite places to eat. The food is delicious and never lets us down! They have some great drinks too!

If you wanna try something a little different, order the flour chips. They’re so good, everyone we get them for enjoys them.
