Working with Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team again was such a joy, as they always make the whole planning process a breeze for myself, the bride and groom, and everyone involved in the big day. The venue itself is so unique, eclectic, and has a ton of character that little to no decor is needed. Even still, the clients and I had a lot of fun personalizing the setup to create a fun and unique vibe that highlighted their personalities on their special day. The best thing I did for my wedding was have it at SmogShoppe! From the moment I walked into the venue to have a site visit before booking, I knew that it was going to be the perfect place to host our wedding. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding venue they'd ever been to, and I have to agree.
Smog has so much character (greenery, flea market shelves, furniture, etc.) that you really don't need to add too much if you don't want to, and it looks like you've done so much. It just comes like that! They also have so many little cat details, which my husband and I personally loved as we have two cats.
Everyone I worked with at SmogShoppe/Marvimon (Dana, Clare for planning; Em and Sam on the day of) was just amazing. Each person was so helpful, considerate, knowledgable, and just fantastic to work with. Even though planning a wedding is stressful and hard work, everyone at SmogShoppe makes it so much easier by being there for you every step of the way re: the venue. Their preferred vendors list is amazing - I booked almost every single vendor off that list and couldn't have asked for a better team. The location is great - so close to downtown Culver City, which is such a great part of LA for visitors with all of the things to do. If you are considering hosting your wedding at SmogShoppe, do yourself a favor and book it! You won't regret it.

The team at SmogShoppe was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Their communication was prompt, efficient, and incredibly helpful as we planned our wedding. The venue itself is so unique, with a fun and photo-friendly vibe that was perfect a laid-back wedding. Dana offered great suggestions and expertise to help us craft our idea of what our wedding would look and feel like, and the on-site staff were responsive and effective in executing everything seamlessly on the event day. We had absolutely no complaints - the venue was the perfect choice for us, and the entire SmogShoppe team was as friendly, helpful, and professional as we could have hoped. Smog Shoppe is a picture perfect heaven for any wedding. It's one of my absolute favorite venues in Los Angeles. When I found out my couple booked this as their venue, I was STOKED! It has so many beautiful areas for photos. Aside from the beautiful ceremony space itself which is completely lined with greenery, the venue has some secret nooks that are stunning. The bridal bathroom itself is beautiful, as well as the ladies bathroom downstairs. We took advantage of both spaces! The reception space is moody and absolutely freakin stunning, it's fun to photograph because it's different than most. The venue is perfection, you will not regret having your wedding here.

Came here for a work meeting. Definitely a nice space. The staff person who greeted me was friendly but quiet at the front door. I didn’t give it a 5 star because of the parking situation. Had to move my car once due to street sweeping and had to walk far to find parking.

I photographed a wedding here a while back and it was INCREDIBLE. The venue itself has so much character but you can still add things to make it your own. The succulent wall on the outside and inside is amazing and the perfect backdrop for photos!

My wedding at SmogShoppe in March 2023 was perfect. So many guests told me it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and this is mainly due to SmogShoppe.

It's beautiful and has so much character, I barely had to add decor. Dana, Alex and everyone else were a dream to work with, so organized, helpful and kind. White Label Valet was great. The preferred vendor list was full of amazing vendors and it was so easy to work with people who love working together (Border Grill, Falon B Weddings, Prism DJs, Nikki Media for photobooth, La Pinata Rentals) - I didn't have to research/find vendors. My photographers loved the space. The cinema screen was a huge hit (we played bizarre movie clips all night). The plant wall makes an amazing backdrop for photos. There's a ton of cool spots for photos right outside the venue too.

I blocked rooms at The Shay hotel nearby and had a shuttle take them to Smog, it worked out well. About a mile away there are a lot of really cute restaurants and shops etc for out of town guests activities during the weekend. After the wedding, a small group went to Mandrake across the street which was fun!
