After a long but enjoyable tour of the Sounds and Sights of the South we stayed in this beautiful hotel. Out of all the hotels we stayed in during the tour this was the best. Immaculately clean and presented. Good friendly atmosphere and great staff. Drinks and food reasonably priced. Room was lovely and had a great view of the river. Montgomery is a beautiful place and I could not believe how clean the place was. Puts my home town to shame. A great finish to our trip.

Hotel was beautiful! The staff did a wonderful job facilitating the Alabama Republican Party Summer Dinner. The food was delicious. My regards go to the chef. The rooms were well kept and very cozy. I forgot my toothbrush at home and thankfully, the front desk had disposable ones available. Clutch. Chris at Valet did a wonderful job. Thanks for a great experience.

This is a well appointed hotel in downtown Alabama. It's best asset is its location and, of course, if you are high enough, a spectacular view. On one day, I was treated to a fabulous sunset. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of toiletries. In terms of local, you can walk to most of the key features of Montgomery very easily, like the rivertrail, see many of the historic downtown areas, mosey over to the Capitol Building. I found check in fine and check out ideal. The Legacy Museum is easily within walkable distance as well as its associated park. There was staff in training in check in and check out and seemed to find it difficult to provide things like printed receipts and were not sure if the hotel could mail stamped letters.

Overall, it was a very nice stay. I arrived early and was supposed to get a message when the room was ready but never got it even past 4pm.
When I couldn't wait and came back to the hotel, I was offered a different room.
The room is large, clean and has a great view of the Alabama river and the stadium - Very central location.
As a platinum member, I had a free breakfast at the lounge. Small but good selection (including grits) with a very kind staff.
The bathroom was large and had mostly Aveda amenities but didn't have a handheld shower which I prefer. Communication through app messaging was surprisingly fast.
The weekend I stayed was extremely hot so I was really grateful to have received a late checkout.

Enjoyed our stay! Would like to give a shout out to our Valet guy Blake! He was courteous & friendly!! Our room was very comfy & nice. The buffet was delicious as always. Enjoyed the 2 man band on the patio & the weather was perfect for being outside!

We had a great experience at the Renaissance Hotel. The hotel smelled so good. Everyone was so hospitable, especially Blake in valet. Thank you for the excellent customer service and southern hospitality. The staff was so helpful, and attentive. Everyone had smiling faces. Most definitely will be coming back.

Me and my hubby came for a staycation. So lovely! Brant and the valet team was great. Room service was excellent! Just a great experience. If you are looking for great views, a peaceful stay, exceptional customer service, and entertainment within walking distance, this is a perfect option!!
