This hotel is in a decent location near Pasadena center and is in a historical building…. that is about it for the positives. It has a pool, but there are no towels, no attendance and no service. It has paid parking, but there is no one to take your luggage or to park your car. In fact, there is no service at all in this hotel. to get to your room, you have to unload your own car drag suitcases around the garage and heat them up steps. Not something you really wanna do when you’re in your 70s. And paying a reasonable amount for a hotel

Everything that we asked for was never delivered. I have a feeling this hotel was bought by new owners and they fired all the staff. To say this was under staffed would indicate that there was actually any staff. Other than a check in person there’s not a single person to be seen. No cleaning bellhop no parking no pool attendant no cleaning absolutely the dregs.

Historic 1920s building which was recently remodeled. Appreciate the easy parking structure connected to the hotel, it felt very safe and secure, although it did come at a cost at $20+ per day which can add up. Deposit was at $50/night, so just be prepared for that. Lobby was very elegant and a looked like a nice place to socialise. Rooms were clean (huge plus), but the walls were thin so you could hear others and the street out front, but it isn’t too bad. Overall, pleasant for the price and will come again!

We used Pasadena Hotel and Pool for our wedding block and were very pleased with our choice!

The downstairs area around the bar is spacious and decorated beautifully. We met a ton of our guests down by the bar one evening and everyone loved it!

The service was also very quick - we noticed we didn't have an iron in our room and we simply called and they brought one right up. We also had a clogged sink one morning and they came and addressed it quickly!

Not to mention, the location is great. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and even a shopping center within walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel!

I absolutely LOVE the Pasadena Hotel! If I ever decided to live in a hotel, this would be the place! This was my third visit, and I am looking forward to many more. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are pleasant. The tacos (order at the bar!) are delicious! Just the overall vibe of this hotel is fantastic. There are games in the lobby (chess, checkers and foosball) a very quiet courtyard to hang out and read in. Of course every hotel has comfortable chairs and couches, but this one feels like the living room you want to have! Didn't get time to go for a swim on this trip, but the pool is up on the third floor and just great. The entire hotel is quiet, which I REALLY appreciate...||||Outside of the hotel (because: location, location, location - right?) There is everything: Across the street is a coffee shop/bakery called "oh la la" where the breakfast sandwiches are the best I've ever had. I mean, WOW! Also had their blueberry scone and fresh squeezed orange juice. (I noticed a place inside the hotel selling breakfast burritos - going to give them a try next time!) A block over is a pizza place called "Settebello" which is simply very likely the best pizza in the Universe (or very close to it). ||||Also, the hotel is close to both the LA Arboretum and to the Huntington - both are well worth spending many hours visiting.

Positive: The historic charm of the first floor was memorizing. It was so wonderful to see all the photographs and historic pieces thoughtfully showcased on the first floor. Negative: I expected the design of history to continue into the guest rooms. The guest rooms and hallways felt like they belonged in a different hotel. It was modern and everything was fine but just disjointed.

There is much to like here. The location is perfect, surrounded by good restaurants and coffee shops, highly walkable, and easy freeway access. The common areas are lovely, including a beautiful courtyard. The rooms are small but nicely done. The only negative is the lack of a coffee maker in the room. This was almost a deal breaker for my husband so i hope they add them in the future.

Positives: Rooms are spacious and clean. King size bed was nice (pillow top). Breakfast burrito spot downstairs. Nice decor. Central location.

Drawbacks: paid $26 for 3 bottles of water. Only 3 bathroom large towels were given. And no coffee in the room. Rooms are not proof rooms. Only basic cable (6-7 channels, rather useless).

Overall nice stay. The hotel did seem to be a little frugal regarding basic room amenities. Walls are a little thin. You can hear everything in the hallways.

This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at while working in LA, I did a week at The Line LA which was not nice at all and a week at the Westin Pasadena which was also not good. The rooms here are modern, clean, the bar is so cute, and the lobby has sooo many little pockets to hang out in, and the staff is really nice. It’s also right be everything, walking distance from Office Depot, target and a bunch of great restaurants.
For the price, this place is definitely worth it. I’ve paid more to stay at dingy hotels but this place was so clean and the shower and bathroom was spotless.
