We found a used condom in the bed where my children were going to sleep. When we first checked in (after check in time) they said our room wasn’t ready. After half an hour of waiting with my three children under 6, the front desk clerk finally said it was ready. We found the condom after lifting the pull out bed, then realized other parts of the room were not clean as well. They stated they overbooked so could not move us to a different room until later on. That was a Wednesday. Saturday when we checked out was the first time I was able to speak to a supervisor as all the other times I tried throughout the week I was told there was not one on staff. Needless to say we will not be staying there again. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but put my children at risk and/or put them in an unsanitary environment and I will say something. All I was offered at the end were points to which have no meaning to me as I’m not a Marriott rewards member.

My 2 night stay was bitter sweet. On the one hand the facility & my room were mostly clean. There was a line of Cobb Webb's dust that covered the kitchen table light. The inner adjoining doorway to the room next door leaked sound that was unbelievable. I could hear the person next door talking on the phone & the voice of her party too. That is just weird & lacks of privacy. There were no toiletries which I had suspected would be the case, so no surprise. What was surprising & in conceivable was the morning breakfast had no salt & pepper packs. Only one shaker of each by the condiments that you waited inline to use. Just too many guests for this nonsense way of providing service. There was also a policy of no morning breads, or English muffins. When I asked the attendant about it, she informed me of those being discontinued. But she did offer me 2 slices of bread for toasting. They also cut back on napkins & instead put out the small bar napkins. My room air conditioner was really too loud to get a peaceful night of sleep. Otherwise the front desk clerk did offer me a room change when I first arrived as my room faced the heavier traffic & BART. There is only valet parking here due to the smaller city lot of the hotel. The valet staff was very helpful with local area directions.

If I could give it a negative 100 I would. We watched as Osman the valet driver hit the curb of our new car that we have had for 2 weeks and ruin our new black rims. He walked back inside as we sat there in disbelief. I followed him in and said you just hit the curb with our car! He said sorry I didn’t see the curb.

I then went to talk to the front office manager Mina who has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. I asked for a manager and he said just fill out a claim form. He could care less. I walked back out to the car and my husband to take photos. I then went back in due to the nonchalance of the staff and then asked Mina if we could at least get the valet charge that they make you do reversed? He said sure. Then the valet guy said if no one gets back to us make sure WE follow up. Ridiculous. This is not my fault. So then I send emails with no response. To Mina and the GM Mariam with no response.

I called Mina back and asked for the GM’s number he said he would not give it to me. I asked for him to at least comp the room or do something he said no. He said he would not help me. Then said have a great day and hung up. Beyond the worst experience I’ve ever ever had. Everyone at that property needs to take some classes. Driving and customer service.

We stayed for a week and we enjoyed it. There were only a couple cons to the rooms but overall it was a fantastic stay.

Let’s start with the GREAT: We LOVED the complimentary breakfast included with the room. It was SO good. Fresh foods and Loida was helpful while keeping things clean and replenished. She made us feel right at home! The room came with supplies to be able to cook at leisure or just cut up some fresh fruits. It is beautifully located near the metro (BART) which can take you into downtown SANFRAN and straight to the airport. We def took advantage of it our last few nights. It is also located close to restaurants, Target, and a yummy Pho place across the street. We were only about a mile from an Enterprise which was helpful for our out of town excursions.

NOT SO GREAT: The beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and the technology outdated. The tv wouldn’t work half the time so it made it hard to decompress after a long day. It was pretty quiet except for our room being located right by the metro. So we heard it come by throughout the day and night but definitely not a deal breaker after you get used to it.

Would highly recommend staying here for either a few night or an extended stay. The place is clean and has great amenities including a gym, fire pit and even a pool.

This Residence Inn Walnut Creek was a great stay. It was close to the Walnut Creek BART station, an easy 5 minute walk. We (my son and I) arrived to the hotel before 11am because we had an early flight into SF. We were planning on just checking our bags and then finding some food and exploring WC. But, they had our room ready and we were in our room at 11am (check-in is 3pm). The hotel is newer and our room was perfect for our needs. The only negative was the sofa bed was uncomfortable. My son ended up sleeping on the the couch itself instead. The breakfast was a typical complimentary hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, pastries, etc). It was good, not horrible. The hotel was also within walking distance (about 20-25 minutes) to the downtown area with plenty of options for shopping and eating. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this location, celebrating an anniversary with my wife. The location is ideal for business folks. It is right next to the Walnut Creek bart station.
So no complaints about that. But unfortunately I cannot say the same about the cleanliness of the room we stayed in. I woke up in the morning feeling itchy all over.
When I went to take a closer look, I had what looked like some kind of bug bite all over my body. Almost impossible not to notice and incredibly itchy.
Wasn't sure what it was of course. So after we checked out, I went straight to my family doctor. He immediately knew what it was. Turns out bed bugs had caused this allergic reaction. I mean I have them all over my body. Even on my forehead!
I have tried a number of times to speak with management and corporate about this matter, but no one answers.
My wife and I are deeply disappointed with Marriott hotels. We expected more from them.
So now I am taking strong medications every day and have to miss work, because the red marks all over my body are incredibly itchy and they look hideous!
I do not recommend anyone stay at this location.

This is a standard Residence Inn with fantastic staff. Rooms are new and in good shape. Beds are comfortable (all kings). Gym was especially nice. Kitchens worked. Staff was amazing and and a special shout out to the folks who laid out the breakfast (simple but well done) and the valet staff (fast friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area).

Two complaints:

The showers are dumb and laid out so that the bathroom floor will get soaked. And the light switches are very bright at night. Bring an eye mask if that bothers you.
