This courtyard is not of the courtyard standards and Marriott should be ashamed to even have their name on this one.

Thank you for sprucing up the lobby and Cafe area, much appreciated. However, the rooms where your customers spend most of their time are less than desirable.

The staff were great. Our first room when we arrived had major issues in the bathroom and, like others have said, the smell in the hall is as if we are still back in the smoking and non-smoking times.
The staff members did change our room and the second room was slightly better. It was slightly cleaner however once you left the room and returned there was quite the muggy smell.

We did not have any issues with the ice machine on the 3rd floor. We did use a lot of ice as the mini frig had growth on the inside and a very odd smell to it.

None of the exterior doors locked. There were card key readers, but they did not work. This was very unsettling. When switching rooms we expressed our concerns with the doorknob not working properly and we were told maintenance would be up the next morning however no one ever came.

All the carpets need to be replaced and concrete should be sealed to get rid of the awful smell.

This is not a location I would return to in the future. My hope in writing this review is that with all the others, someone will see the trend and take action for the customers and the employees that are working hard to represent Courtyard by Marriott.

Everyone should completely avoid staying at this hotel. I will give credit that the staff was nice, but I think they're limited by upper management in what they can do.

The carpet all over the hotel was filthy. The area the hotel is located in does have a high crime rate compared to other areas. See attached picture from crimegrade.org

A co-worker and I stayed 1 night and checked out the next evening after talking with a local customer we had met with that day. They told us to get out of that area immediately, and to switch hotels.

There was no bottle water provided in the room and the snack area that you normally see to purchase items was mostly empty.

The signs around the hotel, and in the rooms, said that the breakfast area opened at 6 am. When I went down to get breakfast that morning the staff told me it doesn't open until 6:30 am. We had to leave at 6:30 am to meet with our customer so we couldn't get breakfast that morning. The customer we met with told us to not stop at any convenience store or gas station in that area.

We switched to another Marriott property in a better area but Marriott still charged me an extra night at the Courtyard and declined my refund request, even though the co-worker I was traveling with did get that night refunded.

Never again. |We just returned home from a three night stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Montgomery to visit family. We chose it, as Platinum Elite Bonvoy members, because it was a convenient location, and we have stayed in some very nice Courtyards around the country. |Upon check in, the front desk employee could not get the credit card reader to work. After several reboots, our card had to be entered manually. We were never offered a complimentary upgrade, nor was there any discussion about points bonus. The hallway carpeting throughout was worn and filthy. The room had peeling ceilings. The room itself was damp the entire stay. The bathroom floor never dried and was slippery. The towels were still soaked the following day. |We didn’t request housecleaning the second day because we slept in. We did request housecleaning; at least fresh towels the following day, but when we returned at 2:00 pm to freshen up, housekeeping still had not come. We had to track down a housekeeper and insist on towels; which she eventually did, but never emptied the two full trash cans. One of the outside doors that required a key card to open didn’t work. |On a better note, the staff at the Bistro was very attentive and helpful with the one breakfast we had. |This place did not meet any standards we have come to expect from a Marriott Courtyard. We will be visiting family there again, but will certainly search for a better place to stay.

I enjoyed the Marriott quality when I stayed two nights for work at the university. I miss the free coffee in the lobby that was been replaced by paid beverages. The hotel offers a bistro with reasonably priced breakfast and dinner. i am not sure about lunch service because I am gone. Excellent housekeeping. Attentive front desk staff. Free parking Free wifi. you can join Marriott rewards for free upgraded wifi. Several local restaurants offer a range of prices and types of foods.

The lobby was nice enough. The pool are was nice. Beds were comfortable. The carpet all throughout the hotel was filthy. There were black spots on the carpet in our room. The tub/shower did not drain so you had to stand in water while showering. It was very humid in the room and we found black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom, which is a health issue. We had a balcony but it was dirty and just one chair. Entire hotel needs to be revamped. These hotels are typically nice and that’s why we choose them. Will never stay here again.

The only thing nice about this hotel is the lobby and the young lady at the front desk, when u first walk in needles on side walk in entrance, pool was green.I got in a room that the sofa was disgusting shower had black rings around tub and public hair in tub. She changed my room to the third floor. The hallway carpet is disgusting, stained smells. For the 165 dollars they charge, they should be ashamed, and I love marriott. Never again will I stay at this location, and since it was a marriot, I did not read reviews, and now I regret that mistake. My friends stood up the street in a cheaper hotel and it was nicer then this.

Beds are very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Located close to interstate, gas station across the street, burger king next door and grocery store across the street . The fine arts museum is close by and and free!! Biggest complaint most of the outside doors aren't locked. Anyone has access to inside the hotel. refrigerator wasn't very cold and most Ice machines weren't working.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming, which was a highlight of my stay. However, the rooms were quite outdated and showed signs of neglect. The most concerning issue was the broken locking mechanism on the patio door, which wouldn't lock and left me feeling uneasy about security. Overall, it was an average experience, but the hotel could benefit from some maintenance and updates.
