From first time as guests we feel in love knew we needed to be members.Last night was another amazing time at Libretto! The Blue’s artist agreed that we are so lucky to have a place like this in Paso.
From being greeted at the door to being seated, all staff members are on point and so professional. Love the owners who make you feel special.
The venue reminds us of Larry Blake and Yoshi in the Bay Area but so much better. If you haven’t gone GO you won’t be disappointed.

A Discordant Note in the Night: A Review of Libretto
There exists, in the heart of Paso, a jazz club that ought to be a haven for aficionados of the art—a dimly lit sanctuary where the music sways and sighs, where the clink of glasses punctuates the wail of the saxophone. And yet, one’s reverie is shattered not by an errant note from the band, but by the staggering arrogance of the establishment’s proprietor, whose disdain for his own patrons is as palpable as the smoke that once curled in such rooms of old.
The owner of Libretto appears to have taken a peculiar approach to hospitality—one that eschews warmth, civility, or even the most perfunctory semblance of good manners. To enter this venue is to subject oneself to a performance of unbridled condescension, wherein the maestro of this misguided symphony plays only one tune: his own self-importance. His contempt is not reserved for the occasional unruly guest but meted out indiscriminately, as though each patron is a trespasser in his kingdom of cool.
One might forgive the surly disposition of a man too enamored with the music to suffer the distractions of mere commerce, were it not for the fact that he presides over his domain not as an ardent steward of jazz, but as a petty despot reveling in his own unwarranted hauteur. Woe betide the hapless soul who dares express anything but slavish gratitude for the privilege of overpaying for a drink—their reward will be an icy stare, a clipped retort, or, if they are truly unlucky, outright expulsion.
It is a tragic irony that such a place, built upon the foundation of an art form defined by its soul and spontaneity, should be governed by a man so utterly devoid of both. The musicians, bless them, do their best to rise above the oppressive atmosphere, their artistry battling against the weight of their host’s belligerence. Yet even the finest improvisation cannot redeem a venue where the very air is thick with disdain.
For those who seek jazz in its purest, most intoxicating form—where music and camaraderie intertwine in a sublime embrace—look elsewhere. Here, the only thing more oppressive than the owner’s ego is the sinking realization that no matter how fine the music may be, the experience will always be soured by the man at the helm.
A lamentable waste of potential. One star, and that, solely for the band
