You don’t have any money one alone you are always with someone and you can’t walk are even go to the bathroom by yourself and super overwhelming.

I went here in April 2019 with PBES, the first day was very cinematic being that we just got there. We went with another Catholic school and I made friends from that school. I was originally only going to give it 3 stars, plus 1 because the food and desserts were great, I loved the second night with Italian such as Spaghetti and Italian Ice. Plus another star because we saved a baby seal, I really enjoyed my trip there. I was in the Abalone cabin.

I went to Rancho El Chorro when we just got there they said we would put our luggage in our cabins after welcome ceremony but we didn’t until 2-3 hours. The next day made us go in the rain they wouldn’t cancel the activities and make indoor activities , when we were done our shoes and clothes were muddy and soaking wet. Then next morning our shoes were still wet and so were our clothes. They don’t care whatsoever what the campers feel even if they’re miserable and wet. I was so happy when we got to go home.

The staff is funny and respectful to nature. The hikes are fun and peaceful. The staff is organised. My son had a nice time there because it is all about nature.

I am going to give Rancho El Chorro 1 star because when lighting and pouring rain was going on they didn’t cancel any of the activities outside so we got all dirty with mud. When they said we would bring in our luggage after the welcome ceremony we ended up bringing in our luggage after 2-3 hours passed. Overall, I don’t think you should come here.

I went to Rancho for A 4th grade three day two night overnight trip with Winifred Pifer and despite hiking in pouring rain 😅 I loved the Betelgeuse Cabin and all the sticky slippery mud!
