We visit lake Nacimiento all summer long and usually camp in our cab over camper at Pine Knoll which has always been one of our favorite things to do as family. This year due to a growing family with two little ones under 2, we opted to stay in the newly renovated lodges. Layla and her team up there are top notch and it truly is the best customer service around. They keep a small town vibe with tentative staff and are always a pleasure to be around. The staff are beyond friendly and truly make you feel at home.||The new lodges were truly exceptional too. From the lake view to the warm feel, they did a great job with the updates. My family will be visiting this lake for years to come and we are truly pleased to be able to share our family vacations with such friendly people. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and coworkers. It truly is an amazing place.

We camped here for the weekend and while the lake and beach were nice, it was one of the loudest campsites we’ve ever camped at. Each campsite has good flat tent spots, parking, a fire ring, picnic table and a grill that were all in good shape. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly and there were quite a few water spigots around. There’s a walking path around the different campgrounds to the general store as well and we saw quite a bit of wildlife including rabbits, deer, and plenty of ground squirrels. It’s definitely a party spot with music going and kids screaming until midnight or later, at least on the weekend, both in our campground and the neighboring one, the quiet hours definitely seem like more of a suggestion.

Crowded place, more like a cumbersome village. Beach area is occupied with tents, almost no shade. We were on the road and came here for last half of an hour before sunset to check if it worth coming for longer. They still charged us $12 to peek around. It's good we paid and got inside. It was a cheap way to decide to never return.

We just had the most wonderful weekend at Lake Nacimiento Resort, and I can't say enough good things about our experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

The picturesque views of the lake were breathtaking, and the amenities were top-notch. Whether we were enjoying the stunning scenery or engaging in the fun activities, every moment was filled with joy.

What truly stood out to us was the kindness and attentiveness of the entire staff. They were always ready to help with a smile, making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience, which made all the difference.

We spent a week at Lake Nacimiento in our travel trailer as we explored the CA coast. They were nice enough to let us swap sites to accommodate our rig. The sites are very tight, bathrooms are just acceptable, the pool was not clean, the "beach" is far from desirable and also littered with trash. The lake is large but I would not want to swim in it anywhere near the beach/marina area. There were lots of day users with boats going in and out of the lake. No laundry facilities available. It is far from a "resort" and I wish I had looked in more detail to find a more suitable place to camp.

My buddies and I went to sandy point campground at lake nacimiento. It was our first time and had no idea what to expect. Every campsite and also the bathrooms and shower were the cleanest all three of us have ever seen. The view from the site was nothing shy of immaculate. The water was clean and clear, even after a full night of rain. The fish were active all over the lake. All the staff and park rangers were as friendly as could be. Lake Naci was one of our best fishing trip we have done. We will definitely be back soon!

We stayed at lodge 11 with the loft over the Labor Day weekend, and much to our surprise, the unit we got was beautiful! Newly renovated, modern farm house meets spa retreat feel. Everything new, from flooring to furniture and appliances. We were informed by Emma from registration office, that our unit was the first to be remodeled, and that they will be renovating the rest of the units after this weekend. Great experience all around, from the views, to the comfortable stay. Although, only downfall was that there was 8 of us, with only one bathroom. The unit came supplied with all new kitchenware, bedding, and towels. And that's good, because after reading many of the negative reviews posted, we had came prepared with everything from cleaning supplies, linens, towels, pots, pans, etc., which we didn't need to use. The only thing I would recommend bringing are some cooking knives (if you plan on cooking). They did put in a smart TV, so we made one of our nights a movie night. Air conditioning worked well too. Would definitely come back again. In the pics I posted, I forgot to take a pic of the bedroom, but it was roomy with a king size bed.
